Gabi doesn't have much patience. That's a well known and much given fact that Falco is aware of that won't go overlooked. Ever. It's the way that her face contorts into a furious sorrow, thick brows quirked towards her huge brown eyes and the air below her pouty lips that gives her out, not the clenched jaw, or the tufts of hair that irkly fall onto her sheer and veiny skin. Falco knows better than to agitate her even more, especially during moments in which she's angry like this.
Even if he knows better, much, much better, he wants to burst into an obnoxiously loud pit of laughter, right into her face for the work she's doing. It's not even rational to be tickled by her ministrations so roughly like this, but he can't help it, no one could. Not even Captain Levi, were he a witness to this sight.
"Why can't you just sit in one place"
Her cries are hilarious, as she's chasing after the barely crawling baby with a diaper cloth in her hands, desperate, while the little girl is laughing in bubbling sounds, throwing toothless smiles at her, proud that she's making her suffer. Falco is about to lose it, he knows it. Every moment he's closer to the edge, ready to break his mental restraints.
"Bleh"
Falco coos and whistles, flicking his wrist and scrunches his nose towards the baby, anything to make her laugh, anything that will make her stay in one place.
"Stop moving!" Gabi -almost- screams, pins in her hands ready to dig into the soft cloth of the diaper, Kuchel is finally giving in to Falco's distraction, cooperating with them.
Great, it's only going to take Gabi three seconds to finish this and-
"Gabi, Kuchel pushed me!"
Brown eyes blink into the direction of the voice, wide and nervous as their owner pants; Gabi refuses to believe this is actually happening, or that she heard right, because once she locks gazes with the toddler on her left she's met with a scolding pout. A gentle reminder that these were Captain Levi's kids, a second generation of cold gazes and heart stabbing insults.
Falco smiles, squatting "Kuchel is right here with Gabi, John, she couldn't have pushed you" His hand rests on John's head, fingers ruffling through thick raven locks.
"She pushed me a while before"
"But she can't even walk properly" Falco smiles, glancing up at Gabi, who's finally managing to dress Kuchel up.
"That's why she pushed me"
"She didn't push you" Another voice calls from far away and Falco recognises it -it's Kurt, and he's running towards John with sweat dripping from his forehead. He's pouting as well, a chubby lower lip too prominent on his features
"Shut up, she did"
"She didn't, she's a baby"
Sigh, so much to do and such little time, and these kids absolutely can and will drive Gabi and Falco crazy. Maybe they should have offered to help at the tea shop instead...

The last thing I remember before waking up in a forest was walking through the city coming home from a late night at work. My manager needed me to close up so I didn’t get to head home until almost midnight. I don’t remember actually walking home. All I remember was a searing heat coarse through my body before blacking out.
The hard ground under me was sharp and rough, cutting the exposed parts of my arms. I was sore and a little cut up but otherwise unharmed. My clothes were wrinkled and filthy from the rocks. It took me a minute to gather my bearings on what was going on. I sat up, noticing I was within a dense forest, it was vibrant and peaceful but held an air of tense unease. I forced my aching body up off the ground and looked around.
The trees were massive reaching hundreds of feet in the air, only allowing minimal light to get through the leaves. The brush thick and vine covered. The ground was covered in leaves and sticks, tall grass picking out and swaying in the rustling breeze. The area was surreal in the best way possible. Although that didn’t put me at ease any.
“I’m so dead.” I sighed. There was no way I could tell which direction to go. I didn’t know the first thing about survival either. “How the hell did I even get here? Please tell me this is a dream.” Sighing I started off in a random direction. Moving was better than staying where I was.
I needed to find a shelter if nothing else, getting sick would not help my case any. A nagging hunger made itself known over the following hours. I beat myself up over not eating lunch that evening. Though I didn’t trust myself to not eat something poisonous despite the plentiful barriers, so I pushed forward.
*****
As night began to fall I made due with a rock overhang as shelter. I wouldn’t be able to sleep, as I had no protection from animals and needed to move at any moment. Thankfully I was able to start a fire with my emergency lighter and some paper spray that I always carried on me. I stoked the fire once more before settling in for the night.
“Damn.” I cursed. How was I going to get out of here? With no clue as to where I was, I was more or less a sitting duck out here.
Slowly but surely the world was engulfed in the black of night, the only light coming from a full moon. The calm light filtered through the leaves and relaxed me slightly.
A soft zipping sound slowly made itself audible. Drawing my attention to my left. As it got closer it got louder. I moved to my feet as fast as I could. “Who’s there?” I shouted. I tried to make my voice as fierce as possible however failed miserably as my voice wavered uncertainly.
The zipping sound halted with the soft thud of feet on wood. It was in the trees? The source remained to my left although unmoving. I took a step away from the direction shrinking back as if to make myself disappear.
“Who are you?” a deep, crisp, male voice inquired. Making me shriek back in surprise. More zipping sounds made themselves present as they surrounded me. Just how many were there?!
“Aurora Lyte!” I shouted my name. I don’t think he would have heard me had I spoke normally. I felt so on edge, the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. The shadow of the man became visible in the moonlight. He was brood shouldered and tall. He was blond with thick eyebrows and blue eyes. He was at least six foot and stood intimidatingly above me from the tree branch.
“Why are you here? You shouldn’t be here civilian.” The voice spoke again. The threat was thick in his voice.
“I don’t know. I woke up here and have been trying to find my way out for the past several hours.” I raised my hands in surrender as I tried to shrink back into my make shift shelter. A clank of metal made me freeze in place though.
“What is the last thing you remember?” a feminine voice asked to my right. I spun to face the direction in surprise.
“I was walking home from work. A searing, burning pain spread through my body and I passed out. I woke up here. That’s all I remember. Please don’t kill me I swear I’m telling the truth!” I pleaded. I had never been so terrified in my life. So help me god, if I just got myself involved with a gang of mafia I’m screwed.
“What should we do Commander?” another male voice asked, only his seemed board and uninterested, more gruff. Commander?
“Aurora was it?” the blond male asked.
“Yes sir?” it came out more as a question then a statement. If this guy was a commander… oh dear god.
“You are trespassing on military property, as I cannot trust you at your word you will need to come with us.” I stared blankly at him for a moment before what he said sunk in.
“Which branch?” I asked cautiously.
“What?” his voice seemed to go up an octave as if he was thrown off by my question.
“Which branch of military, Marine, Navy, or Air force?” I asked cautiously.
“None of those. What are they even?” his voice sounded even more confused than before.
“What do you mean ‘none of those’ those are the only three branches of military that I’m aware of.”
“Ours is different. We have the Military Police, Stationary Guard, and the Survey Corps, and we are the Survey Corps.” he said seemingly as utterly baffled as I was.
“That doesn't tell me at all what I’m dealing with.” I sighed, frustration and confusion making me dizzy.
“All I ask is that you come with us. We will discuss the situation in the morning.” Apparently shaking off the confusion he returned to business.
“Hold up! Before I go with you? Who are you?” I asked hesitantly.
“I am the Commander of the Survey Corps. That is all you need to know for now.” The order in his voice was loud and clear even to me. I nodded softly.
“Understood.” I said loud enough to be heard. What on god’s green earth had I gotten myself into?
“Brat.” The same board voice form before spoke from directly behind me leaving me severely startled to the point I fell over.
The man was at most five foot three and sported a terrifying scowl. He had raven black hair and looked pail in the moonlight. Even though he was short he was most defiantly muscular. He wore a uniform of sorts. Nothing I was used to seeing. He wore a white collared, button up shirt that nicely sported a pearl white cravat and white pants. Leather straps around his legs and torso. A brown cloth skirt like piece around his waist and a long sleeve tan half coat that held a black and white wing crest, and finishing it all off with brown leather boots that came up to his knees. However the most unusual thing about his uniform was the metal rectangular boxes strapped to his waist, they held what looked to be more blades, as he held a gun like blade. Strapped to the top of each of the box was what looks suspiciously like a helium tank.
“What is that?” I pointed at the contraption.
“Stop asking unnecessary questions brat. Hang on.” I felt slightly offended by his brute attitude but otherwise just ignored it. However nothing could stop the scream lurching from my lungs as Mr. Raven hair sent us flying into the air. My stomach seemed to leave my body as I was lurched off the ground. The shock making me pass out entirely.

Levi's body falls down on the fresh grass, his head soflty landing down, in order to avoid any injury. His eyes are squinted and there's a wide smile on his face, a sign of happiness that's adorning his features. The sound of loud, little laughters filled his ears like bells that rang in a beautiful tone of freedom, while little vibrations that emitted from the voices made it to his chest.
By lifting his head just a tad, he was able to spot all three of his little ones sprawled all over his chest, laughing off of any sound they could hear echoiching in his body. Their small, dark haired heads are turned in a way they could all face each other, to compete about who's doing better in their little game.
"I can hear daddy's heart!"
"And I can hear his stomach!"
"I can hear your voices so shut up!"
Levi laughs sincerely at that, his voice sounding so soft, coming from the depths of his neck. His middle one had always been a little more vulgar than the others as this seemed to be the way he could try and imitate his father. His hands came to rest in his children's backs, holding them down and closer to him, as if to gesture then to just relax for one bit. And they do obviously, but the silence doesn't last long.
Kuchel's head jolts upwards, a little hand reaching to brush some strands of her bangs away from her forehead. "I wanna hide and seek!" Another head pops up, this one belonging to Tony, whose face shows how delighted he is by his sister's idea. "Yes yes yes papa! Can we play!?"
It's only Kurt who doesn't lift his head from his father's embrace and Levi seems to ignore it, looking delighted as well that his kids want to play hide and seek with him. It's not that often that he has a chance to play with them, given the fact that he's in the military. His kids don't lack on anything, they never miss playing around in the yard of the beautiful house he's built for them with the lady he's paying to take care of them, but it's killing him to know that he can't be there for them all the time. They only have him in this world and he only needs one more year until he can finally request to retire, so he can always be with them.
"I want to play a different game." Kurt says in a monotone, small voice that keeps reminding Levi of his mother. "Let's describe each other's faces."
Kuchel and Tony don't seem to bother with postponing their game of hide and seek as they agree with their older brother. They've played this game before, but never with their dad, just because they wanted to help Kuchel draw their little family.
"Alright I go first!" Kuchel laughs off and closes her eyes with her small hands. Levi's smiling again as he runs his hand through her jet black hair, picking up some dirt and leaves that have gathered at certain parts, due to her placing chopped flowers on it at first chance she gets. "Hmm, he has dark hair, a small nose and thiiiiiin lips and he always screams when daddy tells him to have a hair cut! And he always talks blah blah blah. Ahhhhhh"
Kuchel falls down laughing and screaming as her brother attackes her, tickling her sides for sweet revenge, yet Kurt seems too bored by the picture of this. "You're supposed to make it hard Kou! It's obvious you're talking about Tony!"
Kurt doesn't get to describe anyone until his turn, and as almost always he's left last, his siblings mocking the fact that there's no one else to be described except for himself, but he's so determined to describe the person in his head more than anything in the whole world.
"Oi, are you going to play?" His father says and his arm wraps around his small shaking frame. Levi can sense the kid is shaking, although he doesn't really know why and he's ready to address this matter until Kurt finally covers his eyes and opens his mouth to speak. "The person I'm talking about has (h/c) hair and (e/c) eyes. Her hair is waving in the wind and her smile is really pretty." Levi looks at him, confused. He can't be talking about his sister that a given fact, but he's not talking about his nanny either.
"She's holding a baby in her arms and shes waving daddy goodbye."
It all clicks in Levi's head after this. He watches as his son starts trembling in his embrace, sniffling occasionally. His talking comes to an alt and he sinks himself in his father's arms unable to stop his crying. Kurt might have been the only one who remembered his mother, who held onto that memory of him departing for a mission while his mother holds his hand with an infant Tony in her other one. Levi doesn't even know he's capable of feeling all this guilt that even he can't exactly remember the features of his significant other and he curses himself that he's let the thought of her fall into oblivion.
"Who is this!?"
"It's mommy!" Kurt sobs loudly and Levi just presses him into his arms as if he's trying shield the kid from all the evil in this world.
"Mommy? She had (h/c) hair? Really?" Kuchel bursts out excitedly, as she comes closer to her father. "Please tell me more about her!"
"I can't. I don't even rememeber my own mother's face."
"I hate you for not remembering mommy. I really do!" Kurt's screams are muffled by Levi's chest. As he lays down on the fresh grass once again he doesn't even care if his head lands soflty. The sound of his kid crying for the first time in a while is breaking him. His eyes are squinted and he's biting his lower lip in an effort to hide his pain. The vibrations of the voice that comes out of his son's mouth hit his chest like a thousand knives. He hates being a single parent in this cruel world.
