❝ There’s nothing to apologize for, Roxas. ❞
She offers a kind smile, a slight melancholy in her gaze. Truly, nothing was his fault, and what he blames himself for wasn’t anything he could prevent. Everything, from the day they met to the day they were forced apart, even if things changed in between, it all lead to an inevitable end. That’s why, she held no regrets, held no malice, only a quiet longing for those peaceful and simple days atop that sunset kissed clock tower.
“If anything... I should be the one apologizing. Axel and I both... We kept a lot from you, and in the end, we left you alone. Not only that, my problems caused problems for you too...” Her lips form a small frown, gaze moving from the blond elsewhere. Her fingers lace together, thumbs twiddling as she inhales, a soft sigh leaving her as she meets his matching blue eyes once more.
“Sorry... For everything, Roxas.”
