A few blocks north of Fateswallow’s main train station in the Historical District is a tenement building from 1863, now complete with electricity, running water, and, most importantly, a huge bar on the fifth floor with roof access, massive windows, and the best alcohol in this part of the city. While nowhere near as prestigious or expensive as the Crown and Crow, Death’s Head is an eighty-year-old bar known for going a bit overboard with decorations. Skulls line the bar and decorate the chairs and pints. According to a few founded rumours, the original owner’s skull hides somewhere in the pub as well, though it’s only been found three times. If brought to the front, it earns you a free Grim Reaper* and your photograph hung in the front hallway.
With it’s floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Historical District’s skyline, excellent food to go along with the alcohol, and friendly wait-staff, Death’s Head provides an affordable, accessible location for adults to get together any day of the year -- even Christmas.
Because it serves proper meals alongside alcohol, Death’s Head allows people of all ages in. However, a host at the front casts a quick charm on every customer to allow the waitstaff and bar tenders to quickly tell whether they are serving someone underage or not. If one is of legal drinking age, they have a black skull on the back of their hand. Anyone underage has a neon skull instead. This charm wears off as soon as the customer leaves the premises, though they must get a new charm if they return.
*Grim Reaper, the bar’s signature drink. Made with Absinthe, Balkan Vodka, Everclear, Bacardi 151 Rum, and Lime Juice, served in half pints, hard limit two per customer -- one if you’re human. This is one of the most alcoholic beverages served in the Court, and is not for the faint of heart.
