Perhaps it was an accident in the final battle. However it happened, Florina passed through the Dragon Gate and awoke to find herself in a strange land. Although on the surface it wasn't too different from Elibe, it was clear its culture was vastly different, even from the most remote and exotic locales in her homeland.
Unsure of how she arrived, or how to return home, Florina learned of the local kingdom (named Hoshido, apparently) order of Sky Knights. Seeking to become a stronger knight to protect those she cares about, and having little other options until she finds a way home, Florina ultimately joins this order, training in the art.
Florina becomes a Sky Knight and joins an order of Hoshidan air fighters. Although she learns Hoshidan tactics and maneuvers, she continues to fight with far more familiar lances (a fact which initially makes Hoshidans wary of her). She picks up the art and learns some unique skills along the way. Her Ilian training in a different style of pegasus combat gives her a skill normally unseen by Hoshidan Sky Knights: when defeating an enemy, a burst of adrenaline and speed allows the knight to move almost superhumanly, to reposition, retreat, or strike at another foe (commonly called Galeforce).
Although she intends to learn and grow as a knight (as well as learn more about Hoshido as a whole), her first and foremost goal is to find a way home, to her family and friends in Elibe.
Her placement in the story of Fates can either be before or during the story (fighting alongside the Hoshidan forces, albeit reluctantly - she was only there to train, and thus could be convinced to stand down), or afterward. In Birthright, she eventually encounters Corrin/Kamuiās army and can be convinced to join. In Conquest, sheās an enemy fought alongside Hinokaās unit in the second half of the game. In Revelation, she may or may not join Corrin/Kamuiās side before their descent into Valla. If not, she plays no part in the fight against Anankos.
She ultimately promotes into a Falcon Knight, reluctant to abandon Huey, even for a majestic Kinshi. If she were to reclass (though itās unlikely she would), her option would be Troubadour. Although she can wield naginata, she starts and primarily fights with lances. When promoting to Falcon Knight, she takes up the use of the rods, learning the curative arts.
Her personal skill is Androphobe (Damage -2, Hit -10, Avoid/Crit Dodge +30 if fighting a male enemy. Damage +2 and Hit +10 if supported by a female ally). She learns the skills of her classes, but upon maxing out Falcon Knight, she learns a final skill: Galeforce (When user triggers battle, grants a full action if the enemy is defeated [once per turn and only if not supported by an ally]), which is normally exclusive to the Dark Falcon class.
