She's dressed in a beautiful gown fit for her position. A dress she commissioned from the palace seamstress, traditional fire nation red in a thin fabric to help combat the summer heat. Katara knows she's here on her tribe's behalf, to be her people's voice during this important summit, but a little red during her off time couldn't hurt anything. She takes a step closer to the Fire Lord, not touching but one deep breath could fix that. She looks up at him, heart racing, but shes come this far, she can't back out now. "Careful, what would your people think if they found out their Fire Lord had such dirty thoughts?"
The moment her footsteps announced her, his attention was hers. Eyes widened at her beauty, and he found himself at a loss for words for a few moments. She was wearing his colors. Though Zuko could never force his nation onto her, and he had always found her naturally beautiful, he currently couldn't look away.
The warmth flooded through him, likely reaching his features. She had chosen to support him as well as her own people, hoping to create a new bridge to unite everyone as it should have always been. Zuko felt truly lucky and appreciative.
Finally, his brain processed her words to him. A blush to match the hues of his fancy summit outfit quickly rose of the surface of his cheeks.
He reached out to gently touch her arm, despite the heat her skin felt so cool. "Honestly, I wasn't even thinking anything like that...how can I when your beauty just sucked the breath right out of me?" His voice was low, wanting to keep the moment just for them. His blush finally gone and all he could do was look at her with adoration and warmth.
Zuko wasn't sure if it was the heat, the clothing or her nearness but he felt too warm now. He shook his arm free of the arm of his robe in order to use the skin of his arm to wipe his forehead. He gave her a smirking grin after.
"But now that you mention it, nothing I wouldn't enjoy more than getting rid of all of these layers, running out of here together and maybe finding a pool to spend some time in. Alone."
