"Fond of the Bazaar?"
"Fond of you? I am fonder of the Bazaar. You think it doomed. You think its mission folly." (Wines attempts to interject, but you override him.) "Most of you do. Perhaps you are right. Perhaps the Judgement's despair will overwhelm it; in that case the Bazaar will certainly not survive the experience. And my poor birth-world will suffer no further interference."Â
You look toward the sun, towards your employer, towards its black and crawling skin, hissing with the fiery messages of the Correspondence. One of those messages tells of a love which failed, and a fall. It tells, too, of what came after.Â
"Yes, very likely you are right. Very likely, its hopes are meaningless. But even the Judgements, now and then, have encountered something unsuspected."
Your destiny is PASSION: Â There will still be something beautiful.
