Onwards to Tangier, Morocco via fast ferry.
Our time on #Vieques had come to an end. I believe transport is a big part of the overall travel experience. We took the tiny plane here (ferry service priority is given to Vieques residents, as a tourist you can get booted), now it was time to try the ferry, hopefully the newish #fastferry carrying passengers only. #Islandtime departures, breakdowns, tix sellouts & choppy water are the major concerns. I had heard & read online about it all! Avoiding all of that could mean a pleasant 30 min journey to the Ceiba Ferry Terminal for $4 per person one way. I attribute my Mama, our travel angels & sheer luck that we got the later. Well, we also showed up an hour before scheduled departure to buy tickets. As we left the harbor, I texted our preplanned/prepaid car transfer service meeting us next that our departure was ON TIME. ¡Que milagro! As we speed along, I watched #laislanena, the little island, become more & more distant over the shimmering blue water. ¡Hasta la próxima! Until next time, I'll be back one day. Fingers still crossed, that our ferry & private taxi transport will get us to our Old San Juan hotel in a couple of hours to continue our #puertoricanadventure. #puertorico #ttprnyc19 #heritagetravel #latepost #adventuresoftinatamale (at Vieques Ferry Terminal) https://www.instagram.com/p/BvMu5rDBlID/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=emd4c2ibqxjf
