Good morning ☀️ How are you today? #haveagoodday I removed a couple of stories because they caused a couple of problems. First one was my bad, I need to sleep more though no one told me about the glitch in my head. Who noticed, I’m sorry. Second problem was with all the feedback I received. What’s wrong with the half naked perfect body at the red carpet? So, @hunterschafer wore the closing look from the @anndemeulemeester_official #fw2023 debut collection by @ludovicdesaintsernin at the @vanityfair Oscar Party. I don’t think there’s something wrong with her. @celestebarber made her own version to show you the difference between a young body of a transgender woman and her own. And she reflected the design as well. I don’t see the evening gown there, people. And I don’t see the statement behind wearing the undershirt other than “Look at my body”. On personal level it’s ok. Not my career and as a PR it’ll work. I can’t say it’s bad taste. But as journalist I have questions to the brand. Let me explain: fashion isn’t the shows and a red carpet success. Unfortunately consumerism turned things upside down and made PR and marketing staff responsible for the profits. People buy images. So when we talk about obsession with youthful and perfect bodies we talk about the consequences of that approach, fueled by multinational and luxury conglomerates’ money. The show itself sold the image of censored Venus/ Instagram queens. It was a show of 1 skirt and 1 trick. In men’s part 1 shirt and 1 trick. Plus hype around the new creative director that should bring diversity and inclusivity. I don’t see those things. I see waste of money and a lot of noise over bad design that should make me feel shy about my breast and at the same time should stimulate me to show them. The skirt’s construction reminds me of my Westwood’s skirt but made like someone cut the dress’s top off, and draped the loose folds behind. I don’t understand why so much resources including ecological were wasted on the bad sense of fashion and its promotion. And it’s fall/winter 2023. Where’s the sign of it? I considered an option not to write about it, but @pharrell last appearance among the other “geniuses” of @moncler “Genius creative class” was a bit too much. The whole marketing idea of co-creation platform sucks, because it doesn’t do anything good to fashion. Designers standing behind their creations for @moncler are not named. The resulting design is nice, but why won’t Adidas sell it as their own, for example. Just sayin… #PharellWilliams face with stolen design is like a slap in face of the fashion and jewellery community. Money are just money, people. They can’t make things, they only make people richer. We ban brands for being from the wrong country or for saying something offensive in the private message. Why do we celebrate musician that is obviously unable to feel ashamed about the intellectual property he acquired from another culture’s heritage and signed as his own invention? What’s wrong with you? All that diet prada admires and all the junk design investigators, where are you now? I don’t say that coalition of 2 big brands from mass and high markets is the top of the consumerism age, that it serves only to stimulate overconsumption. I don’t say that signing musicians as creatives instead of promoting the existing designers and their work... I don’t mention a lot of things… in the end it’s their money though it’s our environment that is garbaged as a result. I’m asking about one thing only: Why this person is there?! He’s not a creative. Or let’s say he creates opportunities to appropriate other people’s ideas. It’s not fashion. It’s not honorable. It’s disgrace. And ignorance. And arrogance. He looks at things differently… yes, he does.
