Itâs not like they were planning on finishing an entire bottle of whiskey between them. It just sort of, happened, and now theyâre drunk and comfortable and, frankly, Daniyah does not give a damn.
She stares into space for a moment, then giggles, and flicks her gaze to Scarlettâs. Scarlett is a good drinking buddy. Not as good as Zuri, but Scarlett talks more, and itâs a different sort of fun. Dan rather likes it. It also means she can ask questions to her heartâs content, and Scarlett invariably answers.
So she does.
âSo,â she says, and leans forward to drape over the table theyâve appropriated. âYou and Stinky Papa, huh? Howâd that happen, exactly?â
Because sheâs quite certain thereâs a story there - Scarlett chatters often enough for that to be obvious, even if the chatter is decidedly vague and more like haphazard drunken recollections - but she doesnât know what it is, and goodness knows itâs bothering her. Daniyahâs nosy, what can she say.
Ehe. Nosy. She runs a finger down said nose and taps it with a wink and a grin, tilting her head faintly. âI know thereâs something, and Iâm dying to find out what it is. Oh, I suppose that would be a rather tactless turn of phrase. Ehehe. Dying to know. Iâm sorry, thatâs rude.â
