Reference pictures of Faravel Lavellan! The first is a little (not fully colored) doodle of his cute dumb face, and his favorite hairstyle later in inquisition. The second maps out my headcanon for his extensive (June) vallaslin! They’re all medium/cobalt blue like the ones on his face. (Also look at all that black eyeliner/eyeshadow yeah boi) The last picture is a quick layout of his armor. I don’t know if the notes are readable, but to repeat them here… 💙 There are twelve of those little cloth ribbon things that hang from the bottom of his coat. 💙 His greaves and gauntlets have a blue band around the wrists/ankles. (And a black strap higher up, but it’s hard to see.) 💙 The gauntlets and greaves are silver, with a black border. 💙 There is a blue cloth band around his waist that ties just over his left hip. 💙 His hands are bare except for the part of the gauntlets that sits over the top of them. 💙 His pants are super tight leather. Painted on. At this point I don’t care any more how canon skin-tight leather is. Or how practical. Let him have his pants. 💙 His boots have fairly thin and flexible soles, and are knee-high, also leather. 💙 His coat is, you guessed it, leather. But it’s actually a vest, and I just realized that THE INSIDE IS SUPPOSED TO BE LINED WITH THAT BLUE FABRIC. I’m going to set myself on fire. 🔥 The collar of his coat stands up/sticks out. 🔥 The shirt underneath his vest is his skyhold shirt. It has silver clasps and silver trim. 🔥 His shirt bags a little bit where he tucks it into the straps for his gauntlets. (Why? Because it looks nice. Shhhh.) 🔥 The blue fabric for his shirt, cloth bands/sash, hanging ribbons and COAT LINING… Is supposed to be what pretty blue Silk Brocade from the game. But guess who can’t draw patterns??? Yup, it’s me. Good job.
