Hi, I'm a new minecraft aesthetic blog and I'm new to tumblr....Would you mind telling me how to make an faq? Or maybe provide some helpful links? I'm really inspired by what you do and want to share some of my world with everyone
Sure, I’ll try to be helpful as possible ^^
For desktop and mobile FAQ, all of this needs to be done on desktop.
-For desktop FAQ, you need to go on your blog’s main theme page and go to “Edit Appearance” (the icon that looks like 🎨)
-Then on the left, scroll down to the bottom and click on “+Add a page”
-Click on “Show a Link to this Page,”
-Enter a Page Title, call it FAQ or whatever you’d like and also create the URL.
It should look like this, it’s very easy c: Once you make your FAQ, click save and exit. The FAQ link should appear on your blog, wherever the general links would be.
Now, pretty sure people on mobile cannot access this page, so you can make an alternative FAQ for mobile, like me. If you want a mobile FAQ, try making a normal text post, with all the content of your FAQ, and post it to your blog.
After you made the FAQ post, copy the raw link from the post itself. It should be the permalink. Now go back to “Edit Appearance 🎨, on desktop and put this into your description:
And replace whats in the quotes with the link. This creates a link to mobile FAQ onto your description. It should look like below:
This method does not work for everyone. Though some people will be able to click the link, some may just see normal text. It really depends on their mobile device and so far I have not found a 100% successful method. So if that exists, please let me know, somebody. ;-; lol
And if you are considering this method, the link will break once you edit and save your blog’s MOBILE appearance. Right now, I am talking about this.
If you click “Edit appearance” to change your header/accents etc. and click save, the link will disappear and “FAQ” will just be regular text, so you will have to apply that HTML code I gave you and re-add to your description on desktop again. Make sure you do this after every time you edit this page!!!

As far as FAQ content, I prefer to put all of my information on my FAQ, rather than have a long description. I started it with the basics, who I generally am and what I like to do. (If you just want to go straight to minecraft related questions you can do that, and make a “about me” in your description separately, it’s all up to you).
I always get questions like whats your mods/shaders/texture packs? So I listed all of those in the FAQ, if you are going to be uploading screenshots or gifs from your gameplay, it would be good for others to see what you use. Anything else is pretty much up to you to decide. c:
