Oh no! There's someone that she doesn't recognize in the garden! Not that it looked superb or anything. It just had lots rings of mushrooms and some flowers here and there, but a fairy can definitely try, and she can definitely believe. However, Kahen hides almost immediately when she notices the pair, peeking out from behind a tree with a whimper. Hard to approach somebody who is very timid. Or at least, suddenly approach them, that is.

[[I’ve been reconsidering my headcanon that Mary’s a European-born that was raised on the Ryukyu Islands. Every once in while I go back to read the source material and she seems to disassociate herself with native Japanese people in that it’d contradict the fact if she was raised in Japan even if she isn’t actually Japanese.
There’s a lot to work with and places to go, so next time someone asks me about it, it’ll take some time to think up an answer.
I don’t take back the headcanon that some islands have been flooded due to global warming though.]]
