Signum University Press Open to Submissions

I've been asked if I would signal-boost the Signum UP specifically because they are seeking to publish more work from new authors, emerging authors, and authors from underrepresented demographics. And the editor knows the company I keep when she asked, so no hiding behind "surely not ME!" ... yes, they really are looking for you!

Signum UP is currently accepting submissions for both scholarly and creative works. They are looking specifically for:

Individual, previously-unpublished academic articles or chapters on topics relating to language and literature, in particular those focused on Afrofuturism, ecocriticism, fandoms, the Inklings, Germanic philology, medieval literature, and popular culture.

Scholarly monographs on the above topics, as well as translations and editions of literary works.

Individual, previously-unpublished short stories, especially fantasy, science fiction, mythopoeia, fairy tales, secondary worlds, dystopia, Afrofuturism and Africanfuturism, dark academia, superhero tales, and adaptations of classic myths.

But I'm struggling to find academic sources that help me argue my point. Or help me make any real point at all. 

The summer courses for the Mythgard Institute are now available. Probably the course most of interest to SWG followers is Tolkien’s Poetry, taught by Professor Corey Olsen. There is also a course on the fiction of H.P. Lovecraft, taught by Dr. Amy Sturgis. The last day for registration is May 3.
