Based on negative comments I discovered on some fanfiction the other day (not my fics, by the way.) If you come across a fanfic with your NOTP, a story premise you really do not like, or something along those lines and the only comments you give are hateful ones, you are saying more about your own negativity than the person you're bashing.
Telling a person to delete their story they worked hard on because you don't like it? Fail.
Bashing the person for writing a fanfic with a particular premise, even when they tagged it as such? Double fail.
Admitting you read it knowing full well you would not like it and left a pointless message saying as such? Triple fail.
Making your rounds on different pieces of fanfiction, telling an author to - more or less - delete their entire account because you don't like their works? Mega fail.
People are entitled to their opinion, but if all you're doing is responding with hateful words that offer no constructive help and attempt to harass and bully someone into pulling their stuff and leaving, you are the problem. Not them. They worked hard on what they wrote, you are reading it for free, and I honestly don't get people who read stuff that they won't like and then complain about it. You're only showing yourself to be a spiteful, horrible little person who has nothing better to do than to try and belittle others.
