A bunch of clickbait idiots online who are under the impression that Paramount is somehow going to completely overhaul Sonic’s design, reanimate, render, and recomposit shots again and from scratch, despite the movie’s release being 7 months away as of posting this, they have no idea just how time consuming even CG animation is and it shows.
Unless this turns out to be one of the most well planned bait and switches ever, and the footage in the trailer we’ve gotten so far was really just a red herring, and it turns out Sonic is going to look completely different in the actual film, then I really doubt they’ll be making any super drastic changes to Sonic’s movie design, okay people. They’ll probably just change small things like his eye shape, mouth, and other smaller details that, while seemingly minor at first, would still make a world of a difference with the overall character design.
I seriously doubt they’re going to be completely changing Sonic’s movie design, especially when the movie is so far into production. They will most likely just make small modifications to the already existing character model and that’s it.
