Fantasy Baseball - Why You Do Me So Badly?
I love playing fantasy baseball, but sweet mother of god is it frustrating. Every player I take anticipating a breakout fails, only to see them breakout the first game I drop them. Â Every time I struggle to choose a SS or an OF, the guy I DON'T choose will have a huge night. Â Every time I take the so-called "superstar" for a high price or a high pick, they "aren't quite right" as the experts say.
Just joined Fandual.com this past week, and love the format. Â Created a team my first night, thought it looked awesome, entered it in a handful of dollar tournaments and 50/50's... and won money in 6 of 8 tournaments! In a few tournaments with hundreds of people, I was finishing in the top 20 in a few of them.
"This shit is easy!" I thought. "I can make a career at this!" I thought.
Well, fast forward a few days later, and no wins since. Â The most painful was last night, when I went to bed before the late games sitting in the money with 3 players still left to play, including Trout. Â Woke up with big dreams of a few home runs and some top 10 finishes. Â Instead, saw an 0-11, and I fell right out of the money.
Oh, and thanks Scherzer for that stinker in San Diego. Â Thanks Atlanta bullpen for costing Santana that win. Â And thank you most of all, Stephen Strasburg, for costing so much yet pitching so poorly against the Marlins tonight.
That's how gambling works I guess... get you hooked early, and its all downhill from there.
But I'm due for a big win soon, I am sure of it! (famous last words).
