Title: Camaraderie Between Rivals (But Not Really Rivals)
Ponyboy signed in annoyance as he scribbled out another wrong answer on a piece of scratch paper as he tried to figure out his math equation. He had a test on this on Monday and he had slacked off during study hall with Johnny and now had no idea what he was doing. So he was trying to finish it before Darry figured out he was awake.
Or, he was until Steve stumbled looking more worse for ware than he did when he left their house that evening.
"Glory Steve, what happened to you?"
"Shut it tag-a-long and move over."
Pony moved over without issue, staring at Steve wideyed. A few moments of silence stretched between them before Ponyboy got up and went to the bathroom where the first aid kit was kept. Steve was surely hurting. Ponyboy was hurting just from looking at him.
When he came back, he found that there was significantly more writing on his scratch paper than when he left. He ignored it as he helped Steve patch himself up in the places Steve couldn't reach.
When he looked at his paper again, he found the equation he was stuck on broken down for him.

My Marvel Rare Pair Bingo Card
Bucky hummed quietly, flipping a pancake onto it's other side a fresh bacon sizzled on the pan next to it. He found it honestly appealing that Loki had never had a proper breakfast on Earth, so he was setting out to fix that. Besides, it had been a while since Bucky got to cook for someone else—at the tower it was always Steve or Bruce cooking, or maybe Clint if he felt like being nice, and before that… Well, the less Bucky thought about then the better.
Regardless on when Bucky last got to cook a proper meal, he has enjoyment in the motions of it. He has good memories that he was sometimes still working on piecing back together. Following his Ma around the kitchen, helping her bake holiday cookies, helping her cook big dinners before his father passed… Hell, there were memories of Steve watching as Bucky cooked and even Bucky teaching Steve how to cook.
They were good memories, Bucky knew. Had decided even when the felt the dredges of what ifs try cloud his mind.
There was a scuffle of flooring that had Bucky looking up and smiling. Loki was just turning the corner, no doubt announcing his presence so as to not startle Bucky. He was still very much an assassin on the run from whatever number of agencies.
"Mornin' darlin'," Bucky smiled as much as he could, a small and soft thing that was pretty much only reserved for Loki. Loki blinked, taking in the scene for a moment before a smile stretched onto his face. There was a light pink on his face as he used Bucky's jacket to wrap further around himself, hiding the fact he was wearing one of Bucky's shirts too. Bucky felt all warm at the image of Loki in his clothes.
"Good morning," Loki intoned, moving further into the room as Bucky moved towards the coffee maker. He knew how Loki liked his coffee if he deigned to have coffee, and more recently the God of Mischief has been craving coffee—mostly black with sugar and a touch of creamer and some honey. Loki took a deep breath, his magic wrapping around the room like a lazy wolf and a warm presence.
Bucky felt himself warm, not having noticed the chill that had slowly been slipping into him.
"You forgot to light the fire again, ástkærr." Loki noted, sounding more amused than anything. Loki probably only noticed because it wasn't sweltering hot in their cabin. Bucky shrugged, flipping another pancake while be waited for the coffee maker, but now pouting that the others may have been too cold. Loki came up beside him, wrapping an arm around his waist and leaning against him. "Smells good."
"Good. Made them from scratch so they should taste better than when… anyone else makes them." Bucky hesitated, tilting his head as he thought about his words. It wasn't that he was upset by being affiliated with The Avengers, but the avengers were a touchy subject for Loki regardless of who they were friends with.
Bucky turned, wrapping his arms around Loki, who sounded briefly surprised before melting against the Super Soldier. The two stood there in silence, just holding one another. Bucky could tell when the pancakes were done, and the bacon he had moved off the heat when he wasn't paying attention. They were fine for a few minutes while Bucky held his lover.
"How long have you been up?" Loki asked, letting go of Bucky to snag the coffee pot, the smell becoming too much for him and Bucky knew he just needed his caffeine allowance for the day. Bucky shrugged, moving to take the now finished bacon oit of the pan, being careful not to get anything that would leave residue on his metal arm. Grease was such a pain to get off his arm, and it ended up everywhere if there was a lot.
"Don't remember when I got up." Bucky answered when his shrug was not answer enough. Loki made a displeased hum, even as he slipped on his coffee and moved towards their nook—a booth built into a section of their cabin that had a wall on either side and wasn't good for much else than storage… until Loki had seen a picture of a booth sectioned away in a magazine.
It kept most of the kitchen free for them to move around. Or dance at night when Bucky was particularly sentimental about his past and Loki felt like indulging him. Bucky har loved dancing once upon a time, and Loki reminded him of that.
"That's not usually a good thing, you know." Loki hummed. Bucky shrugged as he got the last of the pancakes off the pan. He had enough to feed a small sized family, but the two of them had big appetites for their own reasons. Loki to power his magic more thoroughly seeing as he doesn't have access to Asgard, and Bucky because of the Super Solider serum.
"Sorry there's no eggs, we ran out last night and I didn't feel up to going outside to the hen house." Bucky shivered at just the thought of it. Loki's magic responded by wrapping a little more around him, warming him just a touch more. Loki smiled at him as Bucky set the shared plate down at the center of the table. They needed plates, silverware, the bacon… syrup… Bucky's mind started running and he turned to go get the other items they needed…
Loki snickered as he levitated and moved the dishes around the kitchen. Bucky froze, waiting until everything had passed him before turning and giving Loki a fond but exasperated expression.
"I was gonna grab them, darlin'." Bucky told him, watching in amusement as a cup floating past him, seemingly dancing before setting itself where Bucky always set his cups. Black coffee and Bucky could smell the honey inside it.
"I know, but I also want us to sit down and eat together." Loki smiled, his expression softening as Bucky relented. He was weak to Loki, especially when the other was wearing his clothes.
After breakfast, Bucky pulled Loki to the living room, letting the two of them curl up on the couch together after lighting a fire. Loki had no real preference as to the temperature of their cabin. If it had been just him living at the cabin, Bucky felt he could hazard a guess that Loki would never light the fire.
Bucky hummed, holding Loki close to him and hiding his face against the other's shoulder. He felt exhausted, but he had no real desire to sleep. Loki playing with his hair was not helping the battle that Bucky was trying to fight.
"You should sleep," Loki murmured. Bucky shook his head, sighing quietly as he fiddled with the edge of his shirt on Loki. He hadn't noticed it earlier, having been too distracted by Loki in his jacket.
"I love how you look in my shirt." Bucky murmured, reaching up and pressing a kiss to Loki's temple. Loki scoffed, a content smile on his face as he leaned further into Bucky.
"I know you do." Loki murmured back, turning and kissing Bucky's lips. Bucky smiled shyly, much to Loki's obvious amusement. "But you know you should sleep." Loki chuckled, settling down and sighing in contentment.
Bucky grumbled, but let Loki lull him into a light sleep. He knew the moment he started having a nightmare that Loki would wake him up or pull his mind away from the terrible memories.
"Come on, Bob. We'll have a movie night in my room." Yelena murmured when she saw Bob hesitating to leave the common area. He'd spent three and a half days alone in containment; Yelena's shouting at Val to hurry up and let them all out not being able to help all that much in mostly silent rooms. Especially since they were all put far away from one another on purpose. Punishment, Yelena assumed.
But that meant that Bob was left to Void and Sentry's mocking and teasing. Left to handle them alone. Yelena wasn't happy about that. Not at all, and she was going to make sure that Val got what was coming to her. But after Yelena made sure that Bob was okay and back to a better headspace.
"Really?" Bob looked excited, and Yelena nodded quickly.
"Yeah, I want to shower first, I feel gross after not showering after that damn mission, but then absolutely!" Yelena bobbed her head, a smile appearing on her face as Bob's eyes lit up.
"I-I can grab snacks and meet you there!" Bob had a bounce to his step as he nodded quickly.
"Made sure to shower too. Okay? We'll make a night of it; do our hair and nails, eat snacks and watch movies or TV shows. Alright?" Yelena made sure the plan was good with Bob before nodding and letting Bob run back towards his room. They both had showers to do, and Yelena wanted a moment to just relax under the spray of water.
Yelena left her door unlocked and cracked just a tad so that Bob knew he could just come in when he was ready.
She grabbed her favorite pair of pajamas before heading into the bathroom, humming along to the song stuck in her head. She was bobbing her head along to the imaginary music as she started the water, turning it to the spot that she knew would be her favorite temperature and stripping out of her combat suit and stretching. Most of the team had still been in their gear, knowing full well that if they went to shower nad change clothes that they would pass out in bed before eating a proper meal.
No one wanted to see Bucky get sad over no one eating with him and Alexei after they were left alone together for three days. Yelena was amused by the thought of Bucky managing not to kill her dad from his boisterous personality.
Yelena took the chance to brush her teeth for the first time in four days, flossing and then using mouthwash only to brush her teeth again before swishing with water. Yelena had to be thorough.
Yelena idly hoped that Bob brought drinks with their snacks to their movie night.

"Daddy!" Yelena giggled brightly, running after her father as he got their beat up old truck ready. "Daddy, I ready!" Behind her, her sister laughed as she gave chase to the now four year old girl.
"Yeah, daddy, she's ready!" Natasha laughed brightly, managing to grab Yelena around the middle and lifting her up into the air. "But not for long!" The two girls laughed brightly, as their mother came out after them.
"Natasha, please let your sister down," their mother had a camera in hand and a bag thrown over one shoulder. Yelena giggled as Natasha set her down, wrapping one arm around her shoulders and smiling sweetly at Melina.
"Now, where was it we were going dear?" Melina asked, a smile on her face as the girls turned and ran towards their truck, Natasha helping Yelena into the backseat before climbing in after her. Laughing as she would tickle Yelena on occasion.
"We are going to the water park, eating out for dinner, and then going to the overnight amusement park, if I would believe." Their father explained, and Yelena cheered. All she really cared about was the water park they were going to. Natasha was excited for the amusement park after dinner.
"That sounds like an awful lot of money, Alexei," Melina sighed, shaking her head as she got into the truck.
"Relax, my love, I got it covered." Alexei chuckled, and Yelena giggled, kicking her feet as Natasha made sure that she was secured in her booster seat. "We will have great time today, for the girls."
"Alright…" Melina smiled secretly, taking her camera and facing it towards the backseat. "Smile girls!"
Yelena and Natasha leaned together, bright smiles on their faces and an over exclaimed 'cheese'.
Yelena gasped awake, chest stuttering as she shivered herself up and looked around her. She was alone in her pathetically bleak room. She shivered as she noticed the window open, sighing she pushed herself up and moved towards the window. She smirked when she noticed someone moving back into their own room, and there was only one that could fly in their little rag tag group of friends.
And there was only one person that could invoke memories like what she had just experienced.
She turned, moving to grab her jacket before stepping outside of her room, a feeling of lightness enveloping through her as she went to search out Bob. It was a show of power and of progress, which was something that Yelena had been working on with him for weeks.
This was the first time that it had been a good memory she experienced.
Yelena turned, walking down the hallway and past several doors before stopping outside a lightly painted green color. She knocked lightly, waiting a few moments and smiling when Bob opened the door and peaked his head out.
"Hey," Yelena murmured, and Bob smiled at her.
"Hey," Bob opened the door wider, stepping back and smiling as Yelena took the invitation and stepped inside. "Did… Did it work?" Bob asked, eyes sparkling in excitement and Yelena nodded.
"If your intent was to show me a good moment…" Yelena smiled. "You did it." Bob jumped up, pumping a fist into the air as he cheered. Yelena laughed lightly, offering Bob a hug. Bob jumped forward, wrapping her up in a hug, much to Yelena's amusement.
"I did it? I did it!" Bob exclaimed in excitement, spinning Yelena around before setting her down, embarrassment on his face. "I-I know you said that I could try when you were asleep, and… I really really hoped to achieve it today of all days, and I'm so glad I didn't ruin the morning already…" Bob flushed slightly, looking away and Yelena chuckled.
"Well, you didn't. Now come on, get dressed for the day, I want out of the tower before Alexei tells the others." Yelena groaned, and Bob laughed, nodding as Yelena started to make her way out of his room and back towards her own. She had to actually get dressed—her suit wasn't something she wanted to wear out of the tower, no matter how comforting it could be as of lately.
Yelena yawned as she made it back to her room, stretching and deciding to take a quick shower, she hadn't the night before like she wanted too. Training with Bob had taken her out far quicker than she had intended it too. She grabbed a sweatshirt, a long sleeved shirt, and a pair of nice looking pants that were secretly sweatpants that Bob got her for Christmas. She could find her socks when she came out of the bathroom.
Yelena walked with Bob towards the Mall, humming a melody as Bob talked about something he wanted to do for his birthday later in the month. Yelena was taking her mental notes, wanting Bob to actually enjoy his birthday, as he was letting her get away with not celebrating much of it at all.
"Oh! You were running out of craft supplies, right?" Bob asked, and Yelena cut off her humming to glance over at Bob, who was eyeing an arts and crafts store.
"I was running out of paints, yes." Yelena nodded, a considering look on her face. She had recently taken up painting as a way to vent her frustration and misery, since she broke a pottery wheel that Val had let them get.
Yelena was still upset they couldn't get another one, Bob really liked making Pottery dishes. But Bob had settled for seeing if he could make tiny animals whenever he found Void was getting to loud.
"Maybe we should make a stop," Yelena smiled, and Bob smiled back, anxiety disappearing from his expression. Yelena really should stop taking so long to answer him.
Together, they moved towards the shop, Bob with a slight bounce in his step and Yelena acting as a steady presence—a contrast really if one were to look. They walked inside, and Yelena was hit with nostalgia as she looked around.
"Here. Use this to vent your frustration." Natasha offered, passing a notebook towards Yelena who only made a face at her. "Come on, you used to love drawing." Natasha paused, face falling as Yelena glared at her. "Sorry." Yelena took the notebook from her, sighing and flipping it over, startling a little when a package of pencils landed beside her. Yelena glared at Natasha again, but the red headed assassin turned hero wasn't even paying attention to her.
Yelena didn't, hadn't, planned on making anything extravangent. She really hadn't, but it had felt like her hands had started to take over, and she was attempting to sketch a spider on the page. A Black Widow, specifically. Nothing felt right, every line felt misplaced and every circle felt wrong. But every time she went to throw it down, or did throw it down, Natasha handed it back to her.
It had become annoying.
But Yelena kept drawing, kept continuing the image she had started no matter how much it had frustrated her.
And then things started looking right. The body of her spider had come together finally, her makeshift hourglass finally looked the right size, and the front legs finally had the shape she was looking for. Now, if only Yelena could get the back legs to work for her and the head of the spider to stop moving around so much.
Maybe she should draw a web underneath of it?
"Oh, Yelena?" Yelena looked up sharply. She found that the sun had set, seemingly a while ago, and that Natasha had recliened the front seat of the car. "Happy birthday." Natasha smiled.
Yelena threw the book at her head, but grabbed it back before Natasha could throw it back at her.
"Yelena?" Yelena shook her head, finding that Bob was staring at her in concern, his hand half reached out towards her. She smiled at him, stepping out of the way of a group of kids coming in behind them. "You okay?" Bob asked, eyes anxiously scanning her face for any hint that she was lying to him.
"Yeah, I'm fine… just remembered something." She relaxed, a smile—although sad in nature—on her face. "My first book I drew in, was given by my sister." Yelena shrugged. "Never got my own, others always got them for me." She smiled at Bob. Bob relaxed, a sad smile on his own face as he nodded.
"Yeah, my first time doing pottery was with you guys, but… before that…" Bob's face fell. "Well, I only really had drugs and even that was mostly gotten for me… Took me years before I started getting it myself… And then, well," Others always got them for me.
"And then you met us." Yelena nodded. Drugs wasn't something he did anymore, hell, he'd stopped the drugs just right before the medical trials, even if he joined them for the drugs he never received.
"Come on, you are almost out of clay, are you not?" Yelena could smell clay in the shop, and Bob shook his head, clearing it, before nodding. "Let's get some clay and see if we can't buy a pottery machine again."
"Pottery wheel, Yelena." Yelena smirked at Bob, who was smiling fondly at her.
"Same thing. It moves and is for pottery." Yelena shrugged, dragging Bob behind her as they started looking for supplies they needed and random supplies they wanted. They were absolutely going to make a day of this.
And then, when they got back to the tower that night, they could bake all that Bob wanted to actually celebrate her birthday. Though he also wanted to make dinner for everyone, the only celebration that Yelena was actually okay with wanting. She smiled when Bob found a magazine that had different pottery wheels, and the two of them started talking about which would be the better one.
They left with two order numbers instead of one. Plus a lot of bags that they would absolutely have to drop off at the tower before continuing their day.

Soo.... I'm writing a SPN PJO crossover where Percy is dating Sam and Jessica (Jess). But I don't want to follow the obvious path of "percy is a demigod".
So I was looking at the Supernatural monsters wiki and I came across fairies. And I thought: Perfect.
However I wanted to know your guys thoughts and opinions.
What made me want to choose fairies? This spot in the article attached above.
More of an alignment than an actual type of fairy, 'good' fairies appear human. Unlike other fairies, they seem more akin to the fairies depicted in classical fairy tales, as they live in the woods of Avalon, are much more benevolent, and dislike harming others. They can, however, be bound and forced to kill by magic. They are quite powerful, although binding them seems easy, as even a very weak magic user can do it.
Percy seems like a 'good' fairy who just... didn't want to stay home in forests.
On a reread of the article, i especially loved the beginning part.
Fairies come in many forms, and have been described as "magical and mischievous beings from the realm next door". This realm, Avalon, is considered another dimension or reality. Fairies have been classified into two groups - one consisting of light fairies and the other dark ones. However, there have not been many details about identifying fairy classes.
Fairies, despite having different types, have some form of society and justice system called the Fairy Tribunal. This court decides on the fate of beings that break the presumably existing laws of their kind. This is not limited to fairies, as seen when a fairy named Gilda brought her former human enslaver to face their tribunal. Fairies, despite being different kinds, all seem to cooperate with each other.
They appear to be sensitive to "energy", as one of them made the comment that "fairies are all about energy". In Clap Your Hands If You Believe, the leprechaun that appeared was able to know that Sam Winchester had no soul, as it said that human souls have a certain "perfume".
In addition, it seems they also suffer from arithmomania, a mental disorder that may be seen as an expression of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Sufferers of this disorder have the overwhelming impulse to count their actions or objects in their surroundings. Because of this (and regardless of how powerful any fairy may be), it must stop what it is doing to count every grain of sugar or salt, one by one, if someone pours it in front of them.
Percy won't have arithmomania exactly, but in later chapters and mini fics in the series I have started, counting will make a reoccuring theme.
Also, my series can be found here: Supernatural Relations. My Pilot episode is named "Jericho's Woman in White" instead of "Pilot".

Title: Death is Always Kinder
Percy panted lightly as he ducked underneath a low hanging branch. He really wished he hadn't challenged his uncle, Lord Hades, because Thanos was faster than Percy expected. Run from the God of Death for 24 hours and get to have one free pass to rant at him about how he could be doing better.
Given it was Lord Hades, he was doing a really good job and Percy didn't exactly *have* anything to correct him about... Well... How he treats Nico but that was already improving. So really, the race was just for fun, but Lord Thanos was really good at his job so Percy was pretty close to death and he knew it.
Didn't stop him from a sharp, sudden scream when a hand grabbed his upper arm and he was lifted into the air.
"I caught you…" Thanos murmured in his ear, and Percys heart thudded dangerously in his chest.
"I guess you did," Percy nodded, swallowing suddenly as he turned his head up and found Thanos staring down at him in amusement. "So, how am I dying?" Percy asked, a little bit of amusement in his voice.
