Respect people.
I didn’t think I’d ever have to make a post like this because I’m the 6 years I’ve been a writer, I’ve never had this actually happen. I wasn’t gonna call this person out but I feel like I need to let any other people know who feel the needs to do this sort of thing for a writer.
Tumblr writers don’t usually get paid to do this. We use our free time when we’re not working, studying, being a mother and lots of other things. We all have real life problems and things to do so for that reason you should respect them enough to be kind.
I enjoy constructive criticism, it helps me improve my writing. What I don’t enjoy is having someone tell me something of mine sucks when no one is forcing you to read or view it. I’m all for being told things like ‘That’s not the correct terminology’ or ‘I’m sure you’d be able to do that in this scene’.
If you don’t like something just stop reading it. I’ve done it a million times when I’ve been reading a fic that I didn’t like or agree with but no matter what the person writing it is a human and they have a life. Saying something unkind does nothing to help it just hurts people unnecessarily.
I thought I wouldn’t have to say this but
Be kind!
It costs you nothing but it could mean everything to that person.
(For some context it doesn’t mention all that in the book it’s just an outfit picture at the beginning of the fic)

I will keep comments open but please be kind to everyone even each other. I thank everyone who supports me in my journey as a writer. Also remember reblogging helps.
