Back to online fandom after a very long hiatus, to see this new style of tryhard. Received the first one a few days ago. My dear beta advised me to just delete it, which I did. Now comes this hobgoblin, trudging in behind the first. And . . . I mean, I figured I might as well just knock up a sign and leave it for the next ones to read. Maybe if enough of them show up to sway and moan until they die from hunger and this embarrassing thirst, I'll eventually collect enough dried hobgoblin husk to make some sort of baroque art piece.

Well, now I've done it — I've talked myself into it. I'm going to start collecting these.

It feels as though I write one of these once every half-decade or so. And maybe so. But this post is the one I myself have been waiting very many years to write. I am here, I am writing (always have been), but now I intend to publish.

So, the short answer to every Ask re every fic you love (and thank you, thank you), is yes. Yes, I'll publish. The Troy fiction, the special forces, Willing to Take the Risk, others to come; others more that will here remain unnamed (because titles change, and well, you know), but whose titles many of you know and care about, have asked about—and have waited on those titles for a long time; know that hot things are coming.

On LiveJournal, we would place disclaimers before everything. So disclaimers became ubiquitous, so myriad, almost a trope, that we very quickly reached irony with them (even if no one I know ever laughed aloud).
