Looking at it now I def think that R/agatha and Z/ooble (and Honey) likely all tried their best to warn Amour about J/ax and advise against dating him (even for fun) due to that one thing that seems to keep frickin happening with everyone who gets too close to him, and ofc bc he's a general jackass and Amour is just...not. She's just such a soft, sensitive person and J/ax would totally take that and crush it at the first opportunity.
Ofc Amour didn't heed this and did the thing anyway. She probably told them that she'd be okay and that it wasn't anything serious. Sh!t. When did her heart start beating like that whenever he walked into the room? Why does she get excited to see him and wanna hug him and shower him with kisses/cuddles all the time? Why does she catch herself staring at him and smiling mid-conversation now? Why does she want to help him get better and actually be a legit good girlfriend? She's in too deep fellas. She thinks she can fix him with the power of love and affection.
Well don't worry. If anything bad happens or if she starts to feel unwell, she knows who she can go to for support. :> It'll still be okay!
Thankfully she got herself out before it could get to a point of no return, but like.
I'm sure abstraction was something Amour came close to once or twice or at least saw on the horizon after a while. And even with Amour basically treating the circus like college spring break during her "I'm finally free and can do whatever I want" phase, she can only take it so far before she realizes she can't help him or love him if he isn't ready to accept it and staying is not gonna help her in any way.
The damage is done, and she can't escape it completely bc J/ax is always just there, but at least now she's not actively in it. Surely that still counts, right?
