        John came up the stairs in a grump. He was tired, and ached, had a long day, and to top it all off, he had to go shopping again that day to fetch some things for Sherlock’s ridiculous experiments.     “Oi, Sherlock! I saw Lestrade on my back from getting your things you wanted, and he said that they still need a statement from the last case that you helped them with. Then I said that you told me that you already did. Although why you lying about that and trying to get out of it still ends up surprises me is beyond me. Anyway- Ugh Sherlock!” John stared disbelievingly at the kitchen table. He had left with clear instructions for all that rubbish to be cleaned up by ht e time he was back. It was the only reason he left to go get his insufferable flat mate’s things for his experiment.     “I thought we agreed that if I were to go do your fetching for you that you were going to clean up your previous messes?” John marched out of the kitchen in a huff. Sherlock looked up from his own laptop,     “I agreed to no such thing. Besides, my results are inconclusive, they need to be further analyzed.” John snorted, “Further analysis on different types of acid on fingertips? You are such a pretentious prick,” He says exasperated, yet there is a fondness in his tone that is hard to miss.     “What is that you are eating,” Sherlock says, his face forming an expression of extreme concentration. John paused midway of opening a package.     “I’ve not eaten anything yet. But I’m about to eat some skittles. I saw them in an American candy aisle in the store. They’re good. I like them every once in a while.” He shrugs, and resumes opening up his candy.     “Give me some,” Sherlock immediately demands outstretching his hand.     “No! Go get your own, you tit. I’m done doing you favours for the day.” The other man gives him a look that says I beg to differ.     “Besides you’ve got this enormous mess in the kitchen that you need to clean up. You also need to get out of the flat, you’ve been in here for the past three days avoiding doing that statement.” Sherlock deliberates for a moment before opening his mouth,     “If I clear out the current experiment on the table, will you then give me some of those skittles?” John chuckles and little, then sighs before reluctantly nodding his head. Sherlock dashes out of his chair and into the other room.     “You better hurry before I eat them all!” John tauntingly shouts out. All he hears in response is a clutter of a few things falling. It doesn’t sound like anything extremely important so he decides to sit down and wait to see what unfolds.
