I feel like dressing fancy and classy kinda only works if the clothes are expensive, meanwhile dressing in more creative, experimental or alternative fashion can really only work if the clothes are NOT really expensive, and overall works best if they're thrifted/second hand and/or have some element of diy in their design. But that made me think, it's actually really cool when the second aesthetic is used as something of a meta-ironic imitation of the first. I just find it really cool

Now that Oktoberfest is over, I want to remind everybody that Dirndel and Lederhosen are by far not the only traditional outfits in Germany, as we used to be a lot of different cultures. I am very tired about Germans being eiteher portriat as Nazis or in Dirndels and Lederhosen. Here are some examples of traditional outfits in other parts of Germany, that are not Bavaria:
