Horizontober day 7: Mighty

I’ve had the idea for a combat class hydraulic punching gorilla for a while now here’s some very rough concept art

Shoulder

Ok this one’s kind of a stretch for today but this good good machine does carry stuff on its shoulders... I got really distracted cleaning up an animation I’m working on, so I didn’t have the brainpower to do something storytelling dkmfkdj. 

Anyways I always wondered how the metal flowers got where they got, so I made a pangolin machine that carries them around, and plants them very carefully from the tip of its tail when it finds the perfect spot. The metal flowers are then shuffled down the line in a conveyer belt-like manner, and the machine is ready to plant again. They move very slowly (so they don’t bump any flowers) and they can clear/flatten perfect plots of earth with their strong front limbs. 

Some seeds need to be kept at a climate-controlled temperature, which is hard to do for a slow-moving metal machine in direct sunlight, so this big guy is a very good source of Chillwater. However, since it can’t move very fast, it will shoot Chillwater at threats as a defense mechanism! 

If you manage to knock off all the metal flowers it carries, or run into one that has planted all its flowers and is returning to a DEMETER facility to get more, look out! They are surprisingly fast, and will slash at you with their claws, batter you with their tail, and even curl up and roll at you! 

I don’t know what to call this one either.

The hzd discord is already paying off with giving me new and horrible machine ideas to torment my players with. They’ve got it all! Sparker charged antlers! Spinny blades to cut you with! Chillwater breath and fangs! Big feet for stomping! HEPHAESTUS really outdid himself with this fun combat class machine, but if you can manage to take one down, each antler blade can be bent straight to make a very nice, heavy sword/club thing. 

Monster

I was kinda thinking about a transport class nautilus/squid machine that cleans the ocean of plastic. It’s form depends on how much stuff it’s carrying!

They carry the garbage to cauldrons so the material can be turned into crafting material maybe? Idk what they do with the garbage once they have it, but they def grab it
