following the success of the inaugural launch of baseâs designed by merch line for the opening of the base culture complex, the second launch of the merch line is being prepared. this line will be released exclusively as tour merch during the upcoming crowned world tour. base is once again seeking product pitches from the idols under their related companies.
all merch approved for this collection of the designed by line will be sold at merch stands during the duration of the crowned world tour. as the line is tour merch this time around, the aim of the designs and the type of products expected are slightly different.Â
products for this collection should directly identify or link to the idol or their group in some way. this may include their or their groupâs name on the product, symbols/themes/words from a group or personal project, a likeness or symbol of the idol, etc.Â
examples of tour merch can be found here, here, here, and here. clothes, stickers, mugs, necklaces, pins, etc. are all fair game, but products should be reasonably able to be carried and kept in a merch bag for the duration of the concert and easily brought home. products should be able to be shipped overseas and sold in person and must be reasonably idol-appropriate and perishable products (i.e. food and beverage) should be avoided.
all idols whose products are used will receive a cut of the merch profits (though base will own the intellectual property rights) and will gain additional publicity by way of the merch release.
for this collection, up to two products per idol will be produced. for idols with two products produced, products will be cycled so that only one product per idol is available at each show.
the price range for products will be up to âŠ135,000 (approximately $100 USD), so product pitches should stay within that sellable range. idols themselves will not set the final price.
idols will not be expected to present an actual prototype of the product unless they have the capabilities of creating one on their own. base will have hired teams in charge of actually creating the product and bringing it to life.
points roundup
total available points for muses involved in this project: 13 points (none of the prompts count toward monthly limits.)
each of these may be completed twice: once each for two different product pitches per muse.
+2 points: an visual aesthetic photo set or a graphic edit representing the product being pitched by your muse, plus a description of at least three sentences briefly explaining what the product is and how the photo set / edit represents the product.
+3 points: either a headcanon of at least 400 words detailing the product and its pitch or a self-para of at least 400 words detailing the narrative of your muse giving their pitch to a small conference room of base designs project managers.Â
+3 points: free choice. you have free choice for this as long as the effort put into it is approximately equal to the normal amount required to earn three points and the content created is original (e.g. you canât find a single picture on google that looks like what youâre going for and post that and call it a day). ideas for this could be a powerpoint âmadeâ by your muse about the product they designed, a mock-up of the product, or a fake print or video advertisement for the product if you have skills in those areas. you may also go simple with this and do a 400+ word self-para or a six-post thread with another muse that relates to the product creation process.
please remember to tag with #famedbasedesignedby (this is the same tag used for the inaugural line).

project duration: june to august (airing july to august)
limitations:Â none
participation: all muses in the roleplay
deadline: july 9, 2022, at 11:59pm edt / july 10, 2022, at 12:59pm kst
in whatâs sure to be the idol event of the year, base has teamed up with mnet to announce the production of the ultimate competition show. in a showdown between bc entertainment, dimensions entertainment, and gold star media, the idol group rosters of each company will be competing head to head for the title of idol industry royalty.
all active groups under all three companies will be competing face to face to impress fans, industry specialists, and the public through three rounds in a never-before-seen competition for the crown.Â
in-âverse info
all groups under bc, dimensions, and gold star are informed ahead of filming that they have been confirmed to appear on a new base-produced competition program, crowned. the general conceit of crowned is to have idol groups compete against each other for the title of the reigning kings or queens of the idol industry. the stakes and importance of this casting may vary for the groups, but the companies have ultimately found the production of this show to be for the net benefit of themselves.
filming for the program will take place from mid-june to late august. the winner will earn a broadcast special of their own on television nationally and on several international television channels, as well as both a special fanmeeting for crowned voters and a special exhibition at the base culture complex when it opens â...and more!â.
filming for the first round will take place from june 20 to july 9.
the mission for the first episode is ârepresentative songâ. each group will be tasked with performing a song representative of them in some way, though they are told that assignment is up to interpretation and does not necessarily have to be their biggest hit. the groups will not meet in the same place for the first time for the show until the day they film their stage for this round to build the tension, so each group will be filmed separately in their practice room receiving news of the assignment.
the groups will have from june 20 to prepare their stage in preparation for filming of the final round one stage on july 9. the winners of the first round will win a benefit for the next round.
on june 20, all of the groups will also shoot the promotional photos for the show. these will include group shots of each group as well as an individual shot for each member. no groups will shoot at the same time as each other, but they will all be in green rooms near the photoshoot set the full day for the cameras to get footage of the groups interacting within and between one another.
groups will get to discuss what their representative song and concept should be on camera. the final choice will ultimately be made and reported to the production team by their respective management teams. this is often how the show will work, as creative teams have already been formed and assigned to help work on the performances that will be presented throughout the show.
the songs each group will perform are as follows:
admin note: as crowned is heavily inspired by the real-life queendom and its subsequent spin-off shows, some groups will use exact queendom/kingdom/road to kingdom/queendom 2 stages, while others will be assigned a song and a stage concept reference from one of the shows. for those assigned a âconceptâ separate from the song, assume the concept, general vibes, staging, etc. would pretty much be the same but for the song assigned instead of the original song.
titan: jealous
lily: genie (concept)
cloud: beautiful (concept)
candy: cheer up (concept)
calypso: chi mat ba ram + rollinâ (remix)
polaris: on (concept)
quantumphase: wonderland (includes main rapperâs rap)
arcadia: butterfly (concept)
selene: decalcomanie
platinum: missing you
equinox: red flavor (concept)
catalyst: fighter (concept)
ultraviolet: playing with fire (concept)
groups will be filmed rehearsing their stages leading up to the big day. some groups may be touring during the time they have to rehearse. they will be renting out practice venues as they travel and production will send a small film and production crew to travel with them to film for their content for the round.
on the first day of rehearsals for each group, the leader will have to draw a card from a clear bowl before rehearsals start. this will, of course, be filmed. from the outside, all of the cards look the same with the showâs logo on them, but on the inside they will either get a penalty, a reward, or an âall clearâ (meaning they are not given a penalty or a reward). these will affect either their preparations for the stage or their score on the final stage.
base and mnet have also partnered with vlive for this round. all idols that do a vlive before the airing of the first episode (july 3) will have a special feature enabled that allows viewers to earn extra votes on the show by commenting on and interacting with the vlive. idols are required to mention crowned and its first airing date during the vlive, but should not spoil anything fully (only teasing what might happen to get people to watch).
on the day of the live recording (july 9), the groups will all arrive at the television studio early in the morning to rehearse and prepare to record. at the live recording, the groups will perform in order from least senior to most (arcadia -> ultraviolet -> candy -> catalyst -> cloud -> quantum/phase -> equinox -> polaris -> lily -> platinum -> titan -> calypso -> selene). they will perform in front of a live audience of fans of all groups and a group of âspecial judgesââ. the âspecial judgesâ from this round will be a group of adults in their 40s who considered themselves superfans of various first generation idol groups, but have proclaimed themselves unfamiliar with the current idol industry.
performances will be scored for this round through a combination of live audience fan votes, votes from the other groups, special judgesâ votes, and likes on their performance videos on youtube after the episode, but will not be able to find out their total score and placement until early during filming for the next round.
mun info
muns may reserve pre-made plot points for crowned round 1. these plot points can be found here. a muse can only have one claimable plot point for the duration of the show, but no muse is required to claim any. there will be claimable plot points for each round of the show. if pre-made plot points go unclaimed, they may be carried over to the next round or removed.
claimable plots can be applied for here on a first-come, first-served basis and are entirely optional. if someone gets to your museâs desired plot before you, you may resubmit for a different ploy.
please note that rankings and special awards that will take place during crowned will be decided through a mix of randomization, influence through musesâ own development, and pre-planned plot points/moments. there are no pre-determined final rankings for any round or for the winner of the show, but randomization will play the biggest role in them. muns should not be focusing on trying to make their musesâ group win, as this is not something that is entirely within any munsâ control and is not the focus of this event. muses may be driven by the desire to win, of course, but that isnât what should be important out-of-character! please turn your focus to development of your muse through this instead.
the airing schedule of episodes using footage from first round filming will be as follows:
episode 1: july 3 (intro to show and groups, rewards & penalties, rehearsals)
episode 2: july 10 (more rehearsals + round one performances by arcadia, ultraviolet, candy, catalyst, and cloud)
episode 3: july 17 (round one performances by quantum/phase, equinox, polaris, lily, platinum, titan, calypso, and selene)
each episode will be two hours long.
any further questions should be directed to the mainâs ask box!
points roundup
total available points for muses involved: 31 points (none of the prompts count toward monthly limits.)
+3 points each: a thread revolving around filming for this filming block of at least eight posts (four for each muse) by the deadline (up to eighteen points / six threads total)
+2 points: completion of in-character interview #1
deadline: october 16, 2021, at 11:59pm edt / october 17, 2021, at 12:59pm kst.
news outlet exclusive and joint idol multi-media project base are collaborating to release a special one-issue magazine that will highlight idols under bc, dimensions, and gold star. the magazine will not only feature photos and content of all of the idols under all three companies, but theyâll get to stretch their legs creatively as well as some take on the role of fashion editors and creative directors for their own content.
the more cynical have said this is an attempt by the three companies to get on exclusiveâs good side, but, for the most part, fans are buzzing with excitement at the news of more content from their favorite idols.
throughout the month of september into early october, idols under all three companies will be participating in schedules for the special magazine.
in-âverse info
idols under the three companies have been scheduled for various gigs as a part of the special magazine release. these activities will be scheduled over the course of six weeks from the beginning of september to mid-october.
opportunity one: group pictorial
for the special magazine, the team has recruited top photographers and creative directors that have worked with several of the top fashion magazines in korea to craft pictorial concepts for each group under the three companies. each company will shoot a pictorial for the magazine.
note: for the purposes of this, concept references should not be taken as exact mirrors of the photo shoot. they may be solo or pair shoots while the ones in-âverse are group shoots, but theyâre meant to symbolize the wardrobe, feeling, and setting of the photo shoots more than exact photos taken during the shoots.
- 1a. a solo of 400+ words about some element of the pictorial shoot: 2 points
- 1b. a thread of at least six posts with a member of the same group during the pictorial shoot: 2 points
opportunity two: solo interview
there will be a series of individual interviews with idols. for those who also do a solo pictorial, this will accompany that spread. for those who donât, the interview will be included in alongside their group spread. each idol will be asked ten questions, with seven being standard interview questions across all idols being interviewed and three being original questions created by the mun uniquely related to the muse:
- what one word or phrase would you use to describe your 2021?
- how have you and your group grown this year?
- what has been your muse-have fashion item recently?
- how would you describe the concept of your solo pictorial and how you came up with it? / (if you do not plan on muse doing a solo pictorial:) how was your group photo shoot? what were your thoughts about it and during it?
- talk about your exclusive x base stage performance. / (if you do not plan on muse doing an exclusive x base stage performance) in your opinion, what are your strengths and weaknesses as a person and as a celebrity?
- what are you most interested in these days?
- what is something you want to do in the future?
- three individualized interview questions created by mun. avoid controversial, confrontational, or private questions. these may be on topics such as their solo work, things related to their image, general questions on interests and hobbies, or expansions on the six standard questions.
points:
- 2a: complete the ten-question interview: 3 points.
opportunity three: solo pictorial
idols will also be given the opportunity to help serve as fashion editors and stylists for their own solo pictorial. while the main team of professionals hired for the magazine will get final say, this is the most creative controls idols have probably had over a pictorial in their careers up to this point. not all idols will have a solo pictorial in the magazine; muses/muns who do not complete both steps of this opportunity will not canonically have one.
please keep in mind the pictorial cannot be controversial, crude/vulgar, image-damaging, etc. and content such as nudity, smoking, etc. would not be allowed. this is meant to âshow their creativityâ, but idol image is always a limiting factor. the group pictorial references are a good reference for acceptable tone and content.
the budget will allow travel within 2,500 kilometers of seoul for each solo pictorial if the idol desires to shoot on-location somewhere.
points:
- 3a. post an aesthetic showcasing the solo pictorial and include a description of the concept: 1 point.
- 3b. a solo of 400+ words about some element of the pictorial shoot: 2 points
opportunity four: exclusive x base stage
exclusive will be releasing a series of âexclusive x base stageâ videos to their youtube channel. this will involve performances videos by idols under the companies. examples: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
idols will get to have a hand in the creative direction for the stage set up, location, and styling for their stage if they wish, but this is optional. travel for an on-location shoot is possible, but the budget will only allow travel within south korea.
muses who have solo original music claims released already may perform an original song if they choose to do this. it does not have to be a single and also may be an ost they sang. otherwise, muses may do a cover of a song.
for covers, please remember to try to avoid songs that are claimable but have not been claimed yet, though thereâs more flexibility with songs that are able to be claimed but are less likely to (ex. more recent releases by veteran ballad artists). some suggestions for covers of non-claimable songs are songs by non-korean industry artists, songs originally by bands or with more than three main artists, songs released prior to december 2009, and canonically released / claimed and released songs.
not all idols will have an exclusive x base stage video; muses/muns who do not complete both steps will not canonically have one.
points:
- 4a. post an aesthetic showcasing the stage concept and include a description of the concept: 1 point.
- 4b. write a solo of 400+ words about some element of the exclusive x base stage shoot.: 2 points
opportunity five: online exclusive
there will also be another online exclusive video related to the creation of the special magazine.
idols will be paired up and will spend the better part of the day together in a typical photo shoot studio setup. one idol will be asked to direct the styling and the hair and make-up of the other idol to their taste from whatâs available to them, and theyâll be able to play around with the studio backdrop, props, lighting, etc. as well. they will then serve as the photographer and take a few pictures of the idol they styled. this is meant to be a light-hearted video series and the concepts arenât expected to be as serious or professional as the actual solo pictorials. the focus is instead on feeding fans more content and giving unexpected interactions between idols. a video of the process as well as a few of the final photos will be uploaded to exclusiveâs website.
idols will be randomly paired, so though anyone can get paired up, for the sake of branching out, this must be completed between two muses who havenât yet threaded since the restructuring. itâs encouraged this be muses who havenât interacted much in general before, but that part wonât be enforced.
points:
- 5a. a thread of at least six posts taking place during this filming. (may be completed twice, once as the muse being styled and once as the muse doing the styling, though each must be partnered with a different muse).
points roundup
total available points: 17 points (none of the prompts count toward monthly limits.)
+2 points: 1a. group pictorial solo
+2 points: 1b. group pictorial thread
+3 points: 2a. solo interview
+1 points: 3a. solo pictorial aesthetic
+2 points: 3b. solo pictorial solo
+1 points: 4a. exclusive x base stage aesthetic
+2 points: 4b. exclusive x base stage solo
+2 points (up to 2x for a total of 4 points): 5a. online exclusive thread
as always, please donât feel pressured to do everything. you may pick and choose what you have muse for!
after two years of construction and mediaplay, base is finally opening its culture complex in the heart of gangnam. built to be a tourist attraction as well as another branch of the base partnership between bc entertainment, dimensions entertainment, and gold star media to expand their brands, the building houses seven floors of performance venues, a museum, a gift shop, a salon, a cafe, a performance academy, and a movie theater, with more elements reportedly still in the works.

while base online has been in existence since baseâs advent, mainly uploaded behind the scenes content of base tv and base music projects, baseâs management decided to start focusing on getting more eyes on their online branch in 2021. a call has gone out to managers to get their idols more involved in the project by asking them to participate in creating a steady stream of content, both pre-filmed and live, for base online.
in-âverse info
idols under the three companies may at any time be directed by management to participate in creating one of the following video content types:
pre-filmed series
1. "an interview with ___â (#famedbaseonline1.1)
a video involving one idol interviewing another on their career, life, etc. in a professional tone. see here for an example of tone, though not in a podcast setting.
must be completed as a thread of at least eight posts. the interviewer is the only muse that collects points, so the interviewee must do a separate thread interviewing someone to collect points.
2. âprankedâ (#famedbaseonline1.2)
a video involving one idol doing a hidden camera prank or playing a practical joke on another idol. this can be a short, minor prank or a more elaborate one as long as it doesnât provoke a reaction that is damaging to either idolâs image.
must be completed as a thread of at least eight posts. both the muse pranking and the muse being pranked may collect points.
3. âcover byâ (#famedbaseonline1.3)
a video covering a solo or duet song of the museâs choice filmed on a stage set (all muses will film on the same set) with some minor lighting design, basic set options, and the option of live accompaniment (example). this can be singing, rapping, dancing, and/or instrumental but should reflect a museâs group positions. if you use a reference, please avoid covers released on streaming sites or to channels claimable on the points blog (ex. studio choom, dingo, muply) and be aware that reference will not be officially claimed (i.e. someone else can use the same reference).
must be completed as a solo of 400+ words or a thread of at least eight posts.
4. âten things ___ canât live withoutâ Â (#famedbaseonline1.4)
this is a video where the muse discusses ten items they canât live without. examples here and here.
must be completed as a solo of 400+ words.
5. âeverything i do in a dayâ (#famedbaseonline1.5)
this is a video where the muse recounts the schedule of their âtypical dayâ. examples here and here.
must be completed as a solo of 400+ word
6. âcurated by ___â (#famedbaseonline1.6)
for this video, the muse will create a playlist of their choice of approximately one hour in length. they will then work with the production team to choose a location fitting the mood of the playlist that they will be filmed in as the playlist plays. the location should be fairly simple to access and film at without a large budget, and allow for the placement of stationary cameras. what the muse does during the filming should be simple, background types of activities that wonât distract the listener/watcher, such as taking photos, doing art, writing, eating, driving, reading, working out, cooking, etc. examples here, here, and here (more examples on the same channel, but note that something like smoking for the video would not be allowed as idol image should be maintained).
must be completed as a playlist of around one hour in length and a solo of 400+ words. the complete playlist can be included separate from the solo or the songs can be specified throughout the solo. note: for purposes of this opportunity, the playlist is allowed to count repeat songs used in other playlists for the muse unlike normal playlists for points. a separate explanation of the playlist is not required.
live series
1. advice live (#famedbaseonline2.1)
a livestream giving advice to fans who send in situations and questions they need advice on.
must be completed as a solo of 400+ words or a thread of at least eight posts with a groupmate or with a muse with a face claim of the same presented/publicly assumed gender.
2. how-to live (#famedbaseonline2.2)
a livestream where one muse teaches another muse how to do something they know how to do well, but the other muse doesnât. this can have either a comedic or serious tone.
must be completed as a thread of at least eight posts.
3. choice live (#famedbaseonline2.3)
a livestream with a format of the idolâs choice, as long as itâs kept appropriate (ex. playing a game, baking, on the spot cover requests, dancing, etc.)
must be completed as a solo of 400+ words or a thread of at least eight posts with a groupmate or with a muse with a face claim of the same presented/publicly assumed gender.
out-of-âcharacter info
you may choose to complete or not complete these tasks whenever youâd you like! each task/prompt/opportunity can only be completed once per muse for points. writing for prompts should only be done if at least one muse in a thread has not collected points for the task previously to avoid an endless number of videos starring the same muse. this is meant to be specific prompts for a limited number of videos on for the base online website over time not a substitute for a personal Youtube channel claim, where a muse has more freedom with type of content and quantity of content.
lives can be assumed to happen whenever you date them from february 2021 onward. pre-filmed content can be assumed to go up on base online sometime from february 2021 onward, from two weeks to six months after it was filmed depending on the amount of tasks completed on one muse dated around the same time.
keep in mind that all pre-filmed videos would be edited and all live videos would be supervised by management to avoid causing scandals.
each thread completed for points should be with a different muse and these tasks cannot be completed through an open thread starter.
please tag all threads and solos with the tag next to the matching prompt. they do not have to be completed in a specific order.
any further questions should be directed to the mainâs ask box!
