Is it true that Spritzee and Togekiss together can spread joy *and* wonderful aromatherapy? I think you two would be the best dynamic duo!

Real question: what else can I do? I've printed and mailed a SHITLOAD of letters to my reps. trying to get my friends to vote at midterms even though they're a long while off. I've become super militant about racist bullshit. But???? It just feels so hopeless? How do we get this asshole impeached before the current extinction rate doubles and all public land is privatized?
You wouldn’t happen to have any candid videos of said asshole engaged in certain unmentionable acts in a certain authoritarian state would you? Or perhaps another of him bragging about his preferred methods of sexual assault?
As far as impeachment goes, Trump could literally be impeached TODAY on strength of violating the Emoluments Clause alone (if a judge agreed. it would be a matter for the courts to decide). There are already groups planning to sue him on those grounds. (How the Trump Courts rule could possibly usher in a new age of kleptocracy and foreign interference) Whatever is in his tax returns is almost certainly damming. Whatever else would have come from the Russia investigation will almost certainly be smothered. But none of that matters because Congress is the body that starts the Impeachment procedure. It’s also the same body that holds the responsibility of acting as a check to him
So they way I see it, there is no chance for impeachment unless we take back Congress in 2018. If these first 5 days are representative of what is to come, I’m sure there will be political will for investigations in 2 years. And even before that Reps will become more sensitive to public pressure as it gets closer to re-election season if the outcry is STRONG enough.
Have you read the Indivisible Guide? It’s got great organizing ideas. Probably the same ones you’ve heard. But a lot of groups are using it to organize demonstrations and political actions. I’m going to one such party this weekend. It’s a kind of mass letter writing and refreshments type thing, which I think is a great idea. The organizers are supplying postcards and snacks, and we’re all just going to write letters to mail.
But when letters and phone calls don’t work, nothing beats showing up with a crowd outside your Rep’s office. That’s what people started doing today. We’re trying to specifically target those Senators who would be most likely to vote against approving his most odious cabinet nominees. Senate Dems are already caving, so we’ll have to picket them AND some GOP Senators who’s vote is necessary to turn the tide.
So yeah, tl;dr keep the demonstrations and dissent up so Reps feel that supporting Trump is politically risky. And of course all of that is useless if we don’t follow through by turning out in MASSIVE numbers in 2018. Because the 2018 electoral map is not in the Dems’ favor, and it’s a near certainty that we will have a fresh new rollout of voter suppression just in time for the midterms. I’ve been encouraging people to get registered NOW, before they start requiring a pint of blood and a pound of flesh.

For what it's worth: I was on Wellbutrin and ended up going off it when I ran out in the field and it was ok. Withdrawal wasn't awful for me, but obviously everyone is different (admittedly I had a lot of problems with it too, since it exacerbated my anxiety something awful!).
Oh no that’s awful to hear about the anxiety. Ugh. So far, I haven’t noticed much of a change in anything (good or bad, unfortunately) in the 2ish months I’ve been on it, so I’m hoping if I do go off of it, I won’t notice it too much. I’m hoping the doc can get back to me tomorrow :/

ugh I feel you....... pre-health and molecular are so ridiculously dominant at my institution to the point where EEB is outright *mocked* by many graduate students and undergrads a like as "worthless" and "useless" and a "waste of time". Take this kid to Brazil!!!!
That is horrifying.
oh man idk if I remembered to toss you bird prompts re: your project, so if I already did I AM SO SORRY I have a tiny memory. AHEM anyway your work is *amazing*. Can we see a jaeger? They're such lovely sea pirates. Or or maybe a gentle storm-petrel. Or a woodpecker! Or... It's all excellent, really. I can't wait to see what you come up with.
It’s all good! You haven’t sent any prompts in yet but anyone is more than welcome to send in as many as they want. gosh, thank you so much! Like I know the quality of these is varying but it’s fun, quick, keeps me motivated and drawing and there’s a lot of birds out there to draw. I’m glad you like my work!
I’d be glad to draw all three of them! It’ll be days 40-42, so a while off from now but not too far away. Again, thank you!
