Lore of the False Peace: PURPOSE
Little is known about the loosely-affiliated, enigmatic organization known only as PURPOSE. Some call them terrorists. Others revolutionaries. Other still a cult.
In fact, there are only really three concrete things known about the group. The first is that they are mysteriously well-equipped, with a supply of Old World Tech and Gen 3 Frames to match firepower with a powerful city-state, if they chose to.
The second is that, more often than not, their goals run counter to that of the Knights of Svalbard. Of all the powers in this time of False Peace, it is only PURPOSE who dares stand against the peacekeeping organization, attacking bases and supply lines, and even entering open battle against their forces upon occasion.
The third constant is their utter lack of consistency, outside of the first two points. Their professed members seem connected only by adherence and allegiance to the inscrutable and impenetrable leadership of PURPOSE, varying wildly in ideology, method, organization, or goals. Truly, the most mysterious aspect of PURPOSE is the one for which they are named.
Of the organizations notable members, only two remain at large:
Belladonna "Entropy" Curtis, also known as the Crimson Plague, is an operative of PURPOSE who pilots a red prototype frame in lightning strikes against forces of the Knights of Svalbard. She has been genetically and cybernetically modified to be the perfect pilot, in service to the will of PURPOSE from birth.
Kassandra "Diana" Heldane, a notorious terrorist and revolutionary hailing from the corpo-state of High Malta, in the Mediterranean area, who has professed that she will see the tyranny of the Mediterranean Economic Alliance fall in her lifetime, no matter the cost. Her actions have garnered her much sympathy from the common citizenry of the area, who see her as the only voice willing to truly strike back at their oppressors and help them in their fight.

In 'The Gospel According to Jesus,' MacArthur is not dealing with some issue or issues external to the faith, but with the central issue of all, namely, What does to mean to be a Christian? His answers address themselves to what I consider to be the greatest weakness of contemporary evangelical Christianity in America. Did I say weakness? It is more. It is a tragic error. It is the idea, where did it ever come from?, that one can be a Christian without being a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. It reduces the gospel to the mere fact of Christ's having died for sinners, requires of sinners only that they acknowledge this by the barest intellectual assent, and then assures them of their eternal security when they may very well not be born again. This view bends faith beyond recognition--at least for those who know what the Bible says about faith--and promises a false peace to thousands who have given verbal assent to this reductionist Christianity but are not truly in God's family.
