@fallencrownsâ gets a plotted starter from Peter to Gwen!
Another day, another fight. Not only between him and an unknown enemy, but the war within himself. Ever since Gwenâs passing, Peter has stopped caring as much, heâs stopped pulling his punches. While he still cares if civilians get hurt, he doesnât really care much if his enemies do - itâs what they deserve, after all. He tells himself that pulling punches gets people killed, that he has to do this, but the truth is - heâs just so angry all the time.
This time, heâd gotten in way over his head. While he had successfully won a fight, it ended up in him severely injured. The guy heâd been fighting is webbed up, with quite the amount of broken bones, waiting on the cops to come get him.
Peter is in bad shape. Heâs got a few broken bones of his own, bruises, and some gashes on his body. Thereâs a gash in his suit from a weapon that had cut straight through him, slicing him open, and causing him to bleed. Itâll heal, he thinks, but it may take some time. He doesnât think itâll kill him but it certainly seems to be bleeding like crazy.
Vision blurs as he staggers away from the scene, hand pressing his hand up against the nearby wall to help steady and balance himself. He keeps walking, towards safety with his house in mind. âJust a little further...,â but he doesnât manage to get too far, between the pain and the blood loss, heâs barely keeping himself awake.
A wave of dizziness hits the masked hero and he slumps back, back against the wall in some alleyway - at least heâd managed to duck into an alley so that he doesnât get easily spotted and unmasked.
Slowly he slides down against the wall, hand pressed firmly against the wound in a futile attempt to stop the bleeding. A few moments later and his eyes are fluttering closed and he slumps over onto the asphalt pavement.
Some time passes, Peter doesnât know how long, before he comes too and his eyes flutter open and at first, he barely registers her. She looks like a shadow until his vision clears and she comes into view. Sheâs tending to his wounds but like a startled animal, he yanks back, hands pressing against her shoulders to shove her backwards.Â
Gwen...? How is this possible? No, it has to be a trick!Â
A trick that fills him with rage because if his enemy is using Gwen against him, that only fuels the anger heâd had after her passing. The woman before him felt real enough, so maybe someone who had a shapeshifting ability?
âGet away from me.â He hisses through clenched teeth, voice hardened and cold. He wonât let his guard down, he wonât allow himself to believe this is Gwen as much as he wants to hope.Â
âGwenâs dead. Stop trying to trick me, it wonât work. Who are you?â
