He wasn't even sure why he was angry.
Maybe it was because anger was easy. Because he no longer had to be afraid of his anger, afraid of showing it, didn't have to squash it down until it erupted out of him any longer. For so long anger had meant indescribable destruction beyond his control, but now it was different. Now he didn't have to worry about hiding who he was, the rage wasn't quite so wild.
That being said, there were still times, like now, when the anger crawling within him messed things up, when he let himself fall too much into it that he let other things get sloppy. A hint of colour rose to his cheeks, a mixture of frustation and shame and he closed his eyes, exhaling forcefully as he tried to calm himself.
"I'm sorry," he muttered through gritted teeth, swallowing roughly.
