I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: repetition is one of ways you build theme. Cal and Care struggle with their failure — they fail spectacularly — and they keep getting back up even when everything seems lost. 
Phenomenal writing if you ask me.
Something that I find so funny is given how hard vader will hold a grudge I imagine there is not a day that goes by where he's not cursing cal kestis to hell and back, like I know he hates that ginger bitch so much it haunts him.
