So I’m taking orchestration this quarter and on one of the assignments I turned in my prof said “Good to see this on Finale” uhhh.... I’m a poor college student so MuseScore is my homie. 😚✌🏽
Fall Quarter detritus, 2019.
Finals went well, and then I unknowingly consumed melatonin and proceeded to sleep for 20 hours.

My Official Senior Year Course Schedule, Fall Quarter
Here are the classes I’m taking this fall! I’m super excited about all of them!
SPECLANG 178A-01 - American Sign Language
I don’t know if I ever talked about it on here, but in my sophomore year of high school I took an american sign language class on the weekends because I was super interested in sign language and deaf culture. So it’s super exciting that I can finally get back to learning a language I love so much. This course will fulfill my language requirement, and I’m super excited to learn even more about deaf culture.
ARTHIST 163 - Queer America
I initially signed up for this class because I needed some more credits to qualify for full-time student, and it looked interesting. I’ve only gone to one class so far, but it looks like it’ll be super cool. It’ll cover american queer art from the 19th century to the 21st century, and I’ll get to learn more about queer studies which I’m super stoked for!
PHYSICS 15 - Stars and Planets in an Habitable Universe
This class is also going to fulfill a science requirement that I have. And it looks like it’ll be a super chill class where I’ll get to learn all about astronomy, other galaxies, and if there are other planets that are habitable for humans. Honestly, it looks like the class will be a walk in the park and also pretty interesting. The teacher is super cool, and we might take a field trip to the telescope on campus to look at planets.
FILMSTUD 120 - Superhero Theory
This class was a last minute addition, but I’m super stoked for it. It’s basically a class all about superheroes in the comics, movies, and tv shows. I like to think it’s an excuse to watch some Marvel and DC tv shows and movies while reading comics I never checked out! I also love this professor so it will likely be one of my favorite classes from this quarter.

Finally put my school schedule for Fall 2018 into my bujo, and it actually really did help ease some of the stress I’ve been feeling! I feel a little more prepared now ✨
October 22, 2017 || Week 4
I’ve already had a midterm for cognitive science. Monday and Tuesday are my Calculus and Behavioral Neuroscience “midterms.” Why are they called MIDterms when there are usually multiple AND they rarely happen in the middle of the term?
I really want to start posting more, but I’m usually pretty busy, especially with club and general school work things. It’s only getting busy next quarter as well (hopefully!). I’m planning on trying to get into a research lab, and hopefully soon, I can start volunteering with children *somehow.* After reading the book “The Boy Who Was Raised as a Dog,” (by Bruce D. Perry MD, Ph.D and Maia Szalavitz) I’ve become very inspired to work with children. Perhaps it’s been in me all along-my mother was a teacher....
Despite major roommate troubles, all will work out. The passage above is from that book, and I think its message is something we should hold try to carry with us during our day to day lives. Just be nice to people. And be nice to yourself as well.
