Page 19. ---- Had Given Hitler’s High Command Ardennes Defence Plan ---- ‘TRUCKHORSE’ TO DIE ---- Paris, May 23 - (UP) - The newspaper Excelsior said today that British, French and Belgian counter spies had arrested more than 200 German spies. The German spies, operating principally in Belgium, were said to have revealed to the German high command the Allied plan to meet the German tank invasion through the Ardennes Forest sector. The first German break through the Belgian border defences was in the Ardennes region. Excelsior indicated that spies would be court-martialed and executed immediately. Today a military court rejected the appeal of Carmen Mory, a woman spy nicknamed the ‘Truck-horse,’ who was sentenced to death. The court also rejected the appeal of her companion, Fritz Erler. Authorities said Mme. Mory had obtained military secrets posing as a newspaper correspondent. She had turned them over to the Germans. She was Swiss and had worked in Berlin. Her companion was a German.
