#fall drives

I know I just updated the holiday countdown calendar but the first day of Autumn is officially tomorrow evening. While it’s predicted that my part of the country will have a dry and mild autumn, I still look at the webcams of the east coast particularly and see the leaves have begun to change, albeit slowly and am excited for my trip!

But the last two weeks, we’ve had to turn on the fireplace, wear my seahawks hoodie (I still don't understand American football) and I’ve even gotten to put on a scarf, deciding which boots or booties to put on, put on a coat, order a psl and go to work. I even realized how much I missed wearing tights. So yes, I am so ready for fall. 

that perfect time in fall

with more shades of green

than i could hope to count

beautified in a bath of sunlight

with flamboyant blazes of color

admidst a sea of greeness

instead of fireworks of color

amongst skeletally bare hands

a day shortly after

there are suddenly leaves on the ground

yet not nearly enough

to rake up and jump in

goodness- i love fall
