Pumpkin beers in August? Here's why.
Pumpkin beers in August? Here’s why.
Pumpkin beers are already showing up en masse at Total Wine in Arlington and other beer stores around the Washington region. (Fritz Hahn/The Washington Post) Labor Day is on the horizon, which means it’s time to sneak away to the beach for one last dip in the ocean, or have friends over for an end-of-summer barbecue. And if you’ve been to a grocery store or liquor store in the past week, you know…

I've got nothing.. but it's Friday!
It's Fridayyyy. I have nothing to review for you today. But I did come across a great blog post about the best fall beers. I've only had a few.. so my goal for the weekend is to try them all! Here's the post. I'll let you know how they compare.
I will hopefully be checking out DCFlea this weekend. Also going to a wine festival at Lake Anna on Saturday! It's their first attempt at a wine festival but they hope to make it an annual event. There are 10 wineries attending plus a handful of other vendors. My friend is selling her pottery there and the Pat McGee band is playing! Information on the festival can be found on their website or on their facebook page. Hoping to find a new wine to drink and maybe a new winery to visit! I'll be sure to take notes!
