"Come on Copia, just one last set, then you can rest."

Huge beads of sweat are rolling down Copia's forehead, leaving a trail of wetness on his neck and making their way through the forest of dark hairs that populates his chest.

"Amore, I don't know if I can do more squats. I've already done so many, I lost count!"

As he closes his eyes his brows crease and his mouth turns into a grimace, painting a pained expression on his face.

"I know you can do it, my love, you've lifted this kind of weight before."

Your tone is stern, but encouraging.

Copia is crouching down, his knees bent, showing his flexed muscles through his form fitting workout clothes, one dumbbell in each of his hands. A pained whine escapes his lips.

"Besides, you know how much I love your round ass." You coo into his ear, your soft lips grazing his skin.

You slide your hand from his lower back to one of his plump glutes, caressing it slowly once you're there.

"Just imagine how I'll play with it once you're done here..."

You give a tight squeeze to his behind, making him jump almost imperceptibly at the sudden change of sensation.

A needy moan comes out of Copia's mouth and with a surge of newfound energy he lifts the weights he is holding.

"Just one more set, right?"

His tight pants don't leave anything to the imagination, betraying his newly formed erection.

"Just one more set."

Your date has been lovely so far: he surprised you with a bouquet of your favorite flowers, took you to an early dinner to a restaurant you both wanted to try for a while, and lastly you took his car to see a movie at a drive-in.

Now that the film has finished, you have been walking for a while, just chatting and enjoying each other's presence, while the frizzy end-of-summer breeze accompanies you.

Copia is telling you about one of his favorite movies while you're window shopping.

"And then he says 'I am you daddy, Luke' and I just think that-". He suddenly stops dead in his tracks.

It takes you a moment to realize what has happened, but when you look up at him you notice his expression dropping to a frown while his sight pierces a hole through one of the shops' windows.

"What? What did you see?"

You follow his line of sight all the way to a small clock that shows 1 a.m. as the current time.

It suddenly dawns on you that your date should be coming to an end soon, as clergy duties require waking up early in the morning for the both of you.

Your hand reaches for his shoulder and slides all the way down to his hand, locking your fingers with his.

"We should start heading back, it's getting pretty late". You say with a sigh.

You don't really want to go back yet, who knows when Copia will get another evening off, and your body is still buzzing with the excitement of the date, so you wouldn't be able to fall asleep easily anyway.

Copia gives you a little tug, bringing your body closer to his own, while his free hand reaches for your lower back.

"Amore, I don't want this to end yet... I don't know when we'll get another chance like this, and I won't be able to sleep if I know we haven't enjoyed our date to the fullest. I don't care if I'm too tired to function tomorrow." His tone is bordering on desperation, but he perfectly manages to air out what you were thinking, as he always does.

An idea pops into your mind. "You know, I could go for something sweet right now... And I know just the place."

You pull him by the hand as you start to go on your way, and he follows along, no questions asked and a grin stamped on his face.

You stop in front of a building sporting a huge yellow and red sign over its door, the words 'open 24/7' are written in a smaller font under the name of the establishment.

"You want to go to Denny's, really? I had something more romantic in mind." Copia's expression is dubious, to say the least.

"Well, I don't know about many places open past 1 a.m. in this area, and despite the food's quality not being the best out there, it is satisfying and comforting!" You beam a huge smile in his direction, your hands clutching his in an affectionate embrace.

A blush appears on his paintless cheeks, coloring him in a lovely shade of red, almost matching his glittery jacket.

"Let's go in then, shall we?"

Once you're sat at your chosen table you start browsing the menu.

"I was thinking we could order for each other. Y'know, to make it more romantic." You lift your eyes from the piece of paper you're holding, giving Copia a shy glance. You are already regretting your choice of bringing him here, fearing he might be disappointed.

"That's a lovely idea, tesoro! I already have something in mind." You see no trace of the doubt from before in him, instead, you only find a warm smile and a comforting presence, as Copia softly caresses your hand.

When the waiter arrives, each of you points at the item you want on the menu while the other looks away, to keep it a surprise.

Once your food gets to the table, you're stunned to see one stack of waffles presented in front of each of you, one topped by whipped cream and different types of berries, and the other topped by chocolate and vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.

You look at the plates and then at each other, as you both erupt into laughter.

"Well, we were talking about how much we were craving waffles the other day!" You manage to blurt out through wheezes.

Copia wipes a tear from the corner of your eye that was threatening to stream down. "I guess we really are made for each other, huh?"

Your heart almost stops as he utters those words.

You have already been dating for a while, but Copia still has the power of making your stomach flutter and your knees weak with a mere look in your direction, and his words are no less.

Copia cuts a piece of waffle topped by a strawberry covered by whipped cream and holds it out in front of your mouth, with one hand holding the fork and the other placed under it, as to shield you were the food to fall.

"Come on amore, let's eat while they're still warm."

As you bite down and hum with pleasure from the sweet taste spreading on your tongue, his gaze on you is adoring, like you're the most important person in the world right now.
