Falcon Manor
Falcon Manor is a country house located in the town of Settle in North Yorkshire, England. The Jacobean home was built in 1841 for Reverend Swale with money provided by his two grandmothers. Originally named Ingfield Hall, due to the field upon which the house was built, the name changed after 1921. The house boasts half dormers, semi-octagonal buttresses, bay windows, a terrace, decorative wallpapers, fine furnishings, and a restaurant. In the spring, carpets of bluebells emerge near the wood line. I’m uncertain when the house became a hotel, but The James’ Places Group purchased the hotel in 2014 and restored it. The three-star hotel has fifteen boutique bedrooms, a bridal suite, and several standard rooms.
