The guys at Fake Magazine have set up a crowdfunder to help secure the future of FAKE. They have recently released their second issue, generating a great response and the magazine is now being stocked in a number of places around the country. I know they are working really hard on this prooject and even the smallest donation with be greatly appreciated. Here is a little more information: "FAKE is run by two people; Sophie Benson and Kerry Leslie. It started as a university project but soon became much more than that as we realised the potential FAKE had (and still has!). What started as a small idea became a labour of love when we found the sheer amount of creative talent that was just waiting to be unearthed. Our aim is to give independent creatives and businesses a platform from which to promote their work. We take pride in sourcing talented individuals and offering them the opportunity to have their artwork, designs, illustrations, writing, and much more, published in print. Each issue of FAKE is funded by Sophie and Kerry, with most of the printing costs covered by sales of the previous issue. Due to the fact that we are employed and have recently completed university, we have been ineligible for any funding we have applied for so far. The crowdfunder will give us the step up we need to push both content and scale of distribution for further issues. We are very proud of what we have achieved so far and are incredibly grateful for all the support we have received since the very beginning! If you would like to help support the future of FAKE, please visit our crowdfunder HERE."
