Sanguinala:
One shall combine capsaicin dressing on unbreaded wings of an avian creature.
The wings shall be consumed unbreaded, as such a luxury should not be enjoyed when the wings of Sanguinius, our Lordly son of the Emperor, were mutilated by the enemy.
The capsaicin bath shall be consumed in memory of the pain Sanguinius suffered before he was delivered thus to his Father's side. ( If you are accustomed to the consumption of hot peppers, do increase the strength of your sauce. The dipping of wings into anything but capsaicin dressings are to be punishable by servitorization for the crime of polluting the body and blood of Sanguinius. )
Red natural dyes made of capsicum or other foods that do not alter the pain of Sanguinius may be used to darken or saturate tour capsaicin dressing. The red stain of your dressing is to be the blood of Sanguinius. Remember how he bled for us. ( Lack of red dye may be substituted with the blood of a blessed Virgin in honor of Sanguinius. Prayers for this addition and the giving of blood to the Primarch can be found on page 99.

Don't mind me. I'm just over here trying to fill in gaps in Nevarran/Mourn Watch inner workings so my blorbo can operate within it sort of believably since the game didn't give us a whole lot to work with. š¤
This is what I've got so far:
Prelate -- (canon?) Head of Mortalitasi and overseer of the Grand Necropolis (per DA wiki, under Vestalus PentaghastāCassandra's uncle)
Acolyte -- staff members that serve the Prelate directly, relating to the inner "hidden" workings of the Necropolis itself (mundane paperwork, upkeep, accounting, political outreach, etc etc).
~~~
Senior Watcher -- tenured professors, keepers, members who have been in the order for a certain number of years. Or as a special promotion for services rendered. Comes with special accomodations and funding.
Junior Watcher -- standard Mourn Watch member, despite the name. Often just titled Watcher. Broad spectrum of abilities and experience. Fully integrated into the work, considered graduated and able to handle most issues. (Various specific titles lie within this section, depending on the specialty of the Watcher and the "department" assigned/chosen)
Attendant -- final step before graduation. Title solely held by those preparing for/going through the trials to prove they can handle the job. For mages, it's like a second Harrowing, for non-mages it is a test of endurance and knowledge.
Novice --(canon title, noncanon details) Speaks for itself. Most novices begin their training mid-teens, though some start as late as 20s. (In Ingellvar's special case, began in early childhood) Applications must be submitted, as the Mourn Watch only takes those who show proper potential and understanding of the importance of the work. (Or if enough "funding" is provided. They are not immune to corruption, though it is fairly rare as it can be dangerous if not well-skilled). Mages must pass their Harrowing before allowed to become an Attendant. Nevarra City has a small Circle for just the Watcher trainees and works in tandem with the Necropolis to specialize the studies. Non-mage applicants must show aptitude for handling runes/magical items, knowledge of history, and/or combat.
~~~~
Adherents-- those who wish to serve the Necropolis in other ways (onsite Chantry clergy, grave sextons, morticians, guides for visitors, public outreach/liasons, etc).
So the Mlbigbang2025 has barely even begun and already the shenanigans are unfolding!
The question: What did the Graham de Vanilla (or whatever) family do? What's their history?
And of course, I simply had to write an article detailing the sad (yet totally true... probably?) story of the Graham de Vanilys!
While the invention of the Graham cracker is attributed to Sylvester Graham in 1829, the truth of the matter is that it was invented nearly twenty years prior, in 1809, by Amelia Graham de Vanily, wife to a wealthy owner of a lucrative Vanilla plantation, Edmund Graham de Vanily.Ā
With regular access to the fragrant orchid and its extracts, Amelia loved to experiment in the kitchen and soon invented what she called the 'Vanilla Graham cookie.'Ā
Amelia's 'Vanilla Graham cookie' was wildly popular in their area, and soon she could not keep up with the high demand for it. She hired outside helpāA young Sylvester Grantāto help her in the kitchens. Unfortunately, over the years, Sylvester and Amelia would grow to disagree over the inclusion of Vanilla in future recipes, and Sylvester thought Amelia's newest recipe, a Vanilla cream filled Graham sandwich cookie, was scandalous. He believed that a bland biscuit would promote a morally pure lifestyle and reduce sexual desire and that this new vanilla cream would promote immoral behaviour in youth. He petitioned to have Vanilla removed entirely from all Graham cookie recipes.Ā
Of course Amelia would do no such thing, and thus their cookie-baking business relationship came to an abrupt end. Due to Amelia's limited knowledge of business and patenting at the time, Sylvester Grant took advantage and quickly changed his name legally to Sylvester Graham (omitting 'de Vanily,' of course) and patented Amelia's stolen recipe (sans vanilla) in his name and under the newly founded company, The National Biscuit Company (Now Nabisco.)
While Edmund's Vanilla empire was majorly successful and the Graham de Vanily family made its wealth in Vanilla, Amelia Graham de Vanily would never be acknowledged for her contributions to the Graham crackers we know and love today.
(***Note: Sylvester Graham was the actual inventor of Graham crackers and Nabisco, according to Wiki, and you can look it up! I swear, this was just for funsies; please don't sue me! š***)

The three divine weapons of King Arthur.
Three blade weapons as his primary tools: A sword, a spear and a dagger. So, whatever powers Excalibur has, Ron and Carn should also have them too.
However, I'm sad to report that the "Carnwennan can make Arthur invisible" is apparently fake internet lore, same as the "Bedivere-is-a-dark-wizard" false fact that was touted online (including here in Tumblr).
The actual item that granted Arthur invisibility was his mantle/cloak, part of the 13 Treasures of Britain.
digd you know? a baby kohane is called a "bobane" and they are so small you cannot see them #Misinformation
Yes, but digd u know that a full grown Kohane is actually referred to as a āOtohaneā and are around the size of a human teenager.
Thatās right, despite being referred to as āKohane,ā the creature we see in game is actually an Otohane as Kohanes are the prepubescent stage coming in at only the size of a hamster until they get enough nutrients to start the process of growing into an Otohane.

Gaia Valeria ā The White Maiden, Imperial Heiress, Sister of the Warmaster
Overview:
Gaia Valeria, often known as The White Maiden or The Emperorās Heiress, is a controversial figure in the annals of Imperial history. As one of the few confirmed female Perpetuals, she remains a subject of intrigue due to her unique position within the Imperiumās hierarchy. Born with a mutation granting near-immortality, her role in the Imperial order was distinct from that of her brothers, the Primarchs. While largely kept out of the public eye, Valeria played a subtle yet significant role during the Great Crusade, her involvement raising difficult questions about loyalty, familial ties, and the nature of power within the Imperium.
Origins and Early Life:
Gaia Valeriaās origins, much like those of the Emperor's other "children," are obscured by myth and omission. Unlike the genetically engineered primarchs, she was born a natural perpetual, and her longevity was a trait she shared with the Emperor. Her existence was not widely known outside select circles, as her pale skin, white hair, and strange, cold presence set her apart.
Though she is often seen as a symbol of beauty and grace by Remembrancers, Gaia emphasizes that her history is steeped in war, having commanded the Thunder Warriors alongside her father in the early days of the Imperium.
Later in the Imperium history, she was largely kept out of direct military affairs, groomed for a political future that may have never fully materialized. Some accounts suggest that the Emperor had intended for her to help oversee the governance of the Imperium rather than command armies, but this remains speculation based on limited records.
Role in the Great Crusade:
Gaia Valeria's involvement in the Great Crusade was limited compared to her brothers. While she did not command legions or participate in frontline engagements, she was reportedly present at key negotiations and political events, playing a supportive role in securing compliance on newly conquered worlds. Her training in rhetoric and diplomacy was used to maintain stability in newly compliant systems, though there is little concrete evidence to suggest she held any formal authority. Valeriaās importance to the Emperorās plans, if any, remains a matter of conjecture, as official records offer few insights into her purpose beyond ceremonial appearances.
Allegations of Relationship with Horus:
Rumors surrounding Valeriaās relationship with Horus Lupercal, the Emperorās favored son and eventual Warmaster, have long been a source of speculation and controversy. Some allege that the two shared a bond beyond that of siblings, though concrete proof is lacking. If there was any deeper connection, it may have been a factor in the events leading to the Horus Heresy, though these claims are often dismissed by Imperial scholars as heretical fabrications. What is clear is that, like many of the Emperor's creations, her fate became intertwined with that of her brothers, particularly Horus.
The Horus Heresy:
Gaia Valeriaās actions during the Horus Heresy remain ambiguous. Official Imperial records place her in Terra during much of the conflict, though details about her role are scant. Some reports claim she sought to parley with Horus in the early stages of his rebellion, hoping to dissuade him from further escalation. Others suggest she remained loyal to the Emperor but was kept from any meaningful involvement due to her potential emotional conflict. The truth remains obscured, as any record of her direct actions has been either lost or deliberately erased.
Her presence during the Siege of Terra is similarly unclear. While there are unverifiable accounts that she was involved in diplomatic efforts or even covert actions to undermine the traitor forces, no official mention of her participation exists in the sanctioned histories of the Heresy. Whatever role she may have played, it was overshadowed by the larger events of the conflict.
Allegations and Controversy:
Heretical Influence: Gaia Valeriaās connection to Horus and her perceived reluctance to take a firm stand against him during the Heresy has led to allegations that she may have harboured sympathies for his cause, or at least deep-seated doubts about the Emperorās methods. These allegations have led to her status as a borderline heretical figure, with some believing she may have tried to broker peace with the Warmaster, while others claim she was paralyzed by familial loyalty.
White Maiden Myth: The Imperial propaganda machine capitalized on her enigmatic presence, creating the myth of the White Maidenāa figure who, according to ancient Terran myths, was destined to bring peace and unity to the galaxy. It is unclear whether Gaia ever embraced this role, or if it was imposed upon her by those seeking to manipulate her image for the Emperorās broader purposes. What remains undeniable is that the myth served to elevate her in the eyes of the populace, while obscuring the more complex and troubling aspects of her involvement in Imperial politics.
Disappearance and Speculation: Gaia Valeriaās fate after the Horus Heresy is one of the great mysteries of Imperial history. No verified record of her death exists, and it is widely believed that she either disappeared or went into self-imposed exile. Some claim she wandered the galaxy, distancing herself from the ruins of the Imperium she helped to build, while others suggest she may still be alive, hidden away within the labyrinthine depths of the Imperial Palace or within the web of conspiracy surrounding the Inquisition.
Legacy and Ongoing Mystery:
Gaia Valeriaās legacy is a divisive one. For some, she represents a missed opportunityāan individual who might have changed the course of Imperial history had she been allowed, or chosen, to take a more active role. For others, she is a cautionary tale of what happens when familial loyalty and emotional ties are allowed to cloud judgment in the face of rebellion and heresy. Her life is shrouded in half-truths, myth, and outright falsifications, making it difficult to separate fact from fiction.
Despite this ambiguity, the image of the White Maiden persists in Imperial culture, especially in certain remote sectors where her legend is still revered. In these distant worlds, she is sometimes invoked as a symbol of hope, a figure who might one day return to lead the Imperium into an age of peaceāan idea that has been officially condemned by the Ecclesiarchy as dangerous and heretical.
Titles and Honors (Official and Alleged):
The White Maiden (Imperial propaganda title)
Daughter of the Emperor (disputed)
Sister of the Warmaster
Imperial Heiress (unsubstantiated)
Conclusion:
Gaia Valeria remains a figure whose true nature and intentions are lost to time. Her role in the Emperorās plans and the events of the Horus Heresy remains contested, and her legacy, stained by ambiguity, leaves her as a near-forgotten shadow in the Imperial mythos. Whether she was a figure of peace, a political tool, or simply a sister caught between duty and family, her story serves as a reminder of the human frailty that lingers within even the most exalted figures of the Imperium.

While weāre talking about Goncharov, does anyone remember The Marmoset Chronicles?
Wow, itās really something to see everyone remember Goncharov! Similarly, does anyone remember The Marmoset Chronicles? In 1970, auteur director Laz Patillo created the first entry in what would eventually becoming an 8-movie empire of action, science fiction and surreal expressionism, with cultural impact that would go on to define filmmaking and pop culture for decades to come.Ā Somehow, The Marmoset ChroniclesĀ is relatively forgotten today, despite the enormous impact it had - including on Scorsese!Ā
Even as the world forgets, Moonshot remembers. In 2020, we produced The Marmoset Chronicles: A Personal Retrospective, where hosts Jay Petrequin and Kirsten Meehan spend 20 episodes talking about these movies, from The Phantom and the Wren all the way to The Plot, the Paper, and the Place We End Up. We also talk about the seriesā generations of cultural relevance in early internet forum culture, its role in the Satanic Panic movement, and many more. These movies have a 50-year lineage, and Kirsten and Jay do their best to represent the very real, very factual footprint that The Marmoset Chronicles has left on the world.
The Marmoset Chronicles - A Personal Retrospective is on iTunes, Spotify and wherever else you listen to podcasts.
