I know we still have one more overture ep to feel out there characters, but who are your favorites so far?
Occtis is 100% in the lead so far. That little nerd who is clearly in over his head stole my heart. When he stayed in Pin all night to watch Thimble and make sure she didn't need anything? The way he used the wrong voice when Julien grabbed her? "We've got a job to do. We've got to finish that first. We can deal with me later." And he DOESN'T want to talk to Julien but he goes ANYWAY.
Then probably Teor and Thimble. I'm actually really excited that they're going to be at a table together, because they were the episode one dynamic I really latched onto and although I did shift to being more interested in Thimble and Occtis and however they knew each other through Thjazi, I'm still very excited.
Azune really jumped up this episode for me, too. He was kind of middle of the pack for me before where I was like "oh he's cool wonder what his deal is" but not in a way where I'm thinking about it constantly. But being so sad that the people he knows and loves are leaving and he's left behind to deal with the administrative side of things, but he wanted to go so bad. Very excited about that and how that'll unfold next ep. I do feel favorite vibes from him, too, even if it hasn't fully hooked yet.
I mean, honestly, none of the characters are missing for me so far and none of the interparty dynamics are missing for me so far. I know that will shift and I won't be invested in all of them eventually, but the way they've set everything up and the people who DO know each other well vs the people who DON'T is so intriguing.
However, I fully expect Occtis, Teor, and Thimble to remain my top three just based vibes and then since I expect Azune to be at a different table than Occtis, I'm kind of glad I'll have a "favorite" at each table if things continue rolling in the direction they are right now lol
