Papyrus frowned. “NO. WE WOULD DIE.” and then he looked thoughtful. “WHO IS JACK SKELLINGTON? I HAVEN’T HEARD OF THIS CLAN.”

Sans smirked. “we fae have magic leylines coursing through our bodies, think of it like human veins. if you popped off one of our limbs well, you’d have very little time to reattach it.”

Frisk arched an eyebrow as she glanced over to her husband. Sans was standing innocently next to his taller brother as he cooked, his shoulders slumped and smile wide as usual while Papyrus reached into the seasoning cabinet. 

In barely a blink a piece of paper was tapped to Papyrus’s back. 

‘i like polllitiks with my spaghetti’

The taller monster didn’t even bother to look away from what he was doing as his sockets narrowed. “I HOPE YOU SPELLED POLITICS CORRECTLY THIS TIME.”

“‘course bro.” Sans reassured even as Frisk could tell he fought not to snicker. Papyrus’s questioning frown deepened as he scrutinized Sans’s relaxed grin before instantly flipping into a smile as he picked back up on what he’d been talking about.

Frisk couldn’t help giggling.

Pranks and jokes happened often enough that sometimes they were hidden like layers just to keep every attempt from becoming mundane or boring. Maybe that was why Paps so readily believed Sans when he said he hadn’t pulled the exact same joke he’d done yesterday.

But then again, Frisk didn’t miss how Papyrus distracted his brother with conversation as he purposefully and casually poured a small amount of red colored curry paste into the tomato sauce, knowing full well that was the one condiment Sans couldn’t stand.
