Patton was a fun person. At least, that's what everyone told Virgil when he asked them about the bright eyed blond.
"He's just such a fun person!"
"Oh he's a pretty fun person to be around!"
"Just an all around fun person you should totally try hangin' with sometime."
Virgil was told it'd be good to make friends, so he starts befriending Patton. Patton loves to host fun dinner parties. He does it all the time.
Virgil thinks half the school must come to those parties. They are always smiling. Virgil doesn't go to the parties - it's to many people for his tastes.
Everyone is always smiling. Virgil doesn't really know why Patton is called a "fun person" beyond the fact that he hosts parties. Patton is always smiling.
Lately he's noticed that somethings... off about Patton. He always looks just a little... wrong. His smile to sharp, his eyes to buglike. And he doesn't think he's ever seen Patton frown.
Patton has never asked for his name. Virgil found that odd. But then again; everyone st the school insisted on going by code names rather then there own. He wasn't even sure Patton was really the others name.
"Hey Storm, can I have your name?"
He held his hand out to shake, as if this were a deal and not a simple name exchange.
"Sure, it's Virgil."
Patton stopped feeling off to him. Patton was just right. Whatever to the left he had been, vanished.
Virgil went to the next party. Patton's house is surrounded by mushrooms.
Virgil thinks Patton is just such a fun guy! He's a pretty fun dude, always smilin' and dancin'.

Logan fell on his back into the grass, panting and smiling. Patton landed on his rapidly rising and falling chest, folding his translucent wings to his back. His giggle sounded like little bells, and it was like music to Loganās ears. āTired already, Lo?ā he teased.
āI can... keep going,ā he insisted, fighting for air.
āOf course dear, but itās break time now.ā A tiny hand patted his chest and the fairy giggled again. āI like you, so I donāt wanna break you yet.ā
āOf⦠hah⦠of course.ā
āYouāre getting better though,ā Patton praised. āI like seeing you dance.ā Something sparked in his chest, and he was halfway up before he realized it. Patton fluttered in front of him, pushing him back down with one arm. āNo, down.ā Loganās back landed on the grass again. āI told you it was break time, didnāt I?ā
āYou did,ā he confirmed, still smiling fondly. āI just...ā
He didnāt continue, but Patton giggled nonetheless. āYou silly child. You really like dancing with me, donāt you?ā Logan nodded, his smile widening. Patton hummed and landed on his chest again. āWe can dance more later.ā
They lay in silence for a while, looking up at the sky and warming themselves in the sun. The blades of grass tickled against Loganās arms and legs as they trembled from exertion. His breathing slowly mellowed out until each breath didnāt rasp out his throat anymore. The sunās warmth became uncomfortable quickly, but he didnāt move.Ā
After a while, Patton got up, telling him to stay right there. He came back with a blob of water and a moist piece of fabric. Logan obediently opened his mouth when he was told to, closing his eyes in bliss when the cool water quenched his thirst and soothed his throat. Then he took the piece of fabric and dabbed it at his face, trying to clean the dried sweat and tear tracks.
He sat up as Patton landed at his shoulder. His bell-like voice was startlingly close as he giggled. āOh, my silly little Logan. Look at your leg.ā He looked down slowly.
The cuffs of his jeans no longer covered his lower legs, but that wasnāt new. They had cut the bottom part a long time ago, around the same time he lost his shoes and socks and tie. He hurt his legs so often that it was just easier to keep it like this. But he knew Patton wasnāt talking about his clothes, so he looked past the ruffled hem at his bruised shins. His right ankle was swollen and purple, and his knee looked weird too. It was probably dislocated again, but he wasnāt sure. There were blisters and gashes on both his feet, most of them surrounded by dried blood, some of them still bleeding.
Patton tsked. āI keep forgetting how fragile you are. Letās get you healed up!ā
As the fairy worked his magic to mend his torn muscles and broken skin, Logan laid back and closed his eyes. His smile barely wavered as his limbs spasmed during the process. It felt nice when the pain finally ebbed away. He had felt it earlier of course, but he couldnāt just stop dancing because of some pain. And a little pain never hurt anybody, anyways.
His expression twitched into a frown at that thought - he felt like that wasnāt quite right -Ā but it was quickly smoothed out. Patton often said he thought too deeply about stuff. It was true, but he was getting better. All thanks to Patton.
He was so lucky they met. He could still vaguely remember the dread and fear heād felt when the fairy read out the name heād written on the first page in his book - his full, true name - so long ago. It seemed so silly now, although he couldnāt really fault himself. Logan from before just hadnāt known yet that Patton was his friend. He would never hurt him.
Logan didnāt like the him from before much, based on what little he could remember. Logan from before was stressed and distant when he met with Patton, and heād given him a hard time when all the fairy wanted was to be friends and spend time together. It was a good thing he was better now, and that Patton was so kind and forgiving. It had all worked out in the end.
āThere, all done!ā Patton grabbed two of his now healed toes and wiggled them, causing Logan to laugh. The muscles in his cheek became sore from keeping his smile in place, but he paid it no mind. The fairy flew a few circles around his head and then stopped in front of his face. āNow how about that dance?ā
Logan laughed again and reached out his hand, unsurprised when Patton pulled him up. The small grip on his finger was strong and chilly. Firm andĀ inescapableĀ grounding.
He shook his head to get rid of the thought that felt wrong. He still had those silly thoughts every now and then, but he was getting better at not thinking them.Ā
He didnāt need to escape. He already had his happily ever after.
Given enough time around Fae!Patton, would we ever see one of his boys changing? Cos i live for the idea and would love to see a fic or smth of that happening. Sorry...I donāt mean to sound pushy... >.<
Itās a fae! Patton in a stained glass/cubism style. Based on the fae design (here and here) by @fangirltothefullestĀ
Hereās the story about this-Ā
I finished my art project early, so I got to hear what weāre doing next: cubism in oil pastels, subject your choice.Ā
Earlier in the week, our warm up prompt wasĀ ānerdy fairyā, so guess who I drew?
Anyways, I decided to take that sketch, turn it into the cubism style, and Iām going to be doing that in oil pastels. However, I guess Iām a glutton for pain, as I decided to make the sketch digital. I had to color, shade, and highlight each panel separately. Iāve been working on this since noon, and I finished at 7 pm.Ā
As I had to keep the design simple, I couldnāt add the glasses or complicated expressions, it cluttered up the face
