If you make ends meet I am proud of you.
It doesn't matter how you do it. Don't let the media or anyone else make you feel bad about how you survive.
Whether you're on welfare because your job(s) don't pay a livable wage, or you work an "unglamorous" job of hard physical labor, or you had children young and their care depletes your expendable income, or you're on SSI or SSDI because of mental or physical disability, or you do sex work, or you have a degree and work in food service, or you had to drop out of school and it's limited prospects for your dream career so you do just whatever, or you're on unemployment because you got laid off, or you have a GoFundMe or otherwise ask for help from others because you're short by the 20th each month, or anything else. It doesn't matter.
You're surviving and it's not easy and that only makes me prouder of you. You are not less-than someone who had and easier start or smoother path or who won the luck lottery.
