From the years of 1998-2023, I didn't have a correct diagnosis, Even though two Psychiatrists tried to tell me what they thought was accurate, they were wrong.Â
I'm thankful to say in June 2023, my new doctor, MaryBeth, at Safe Harbor in Erie, Pa. She gave me good news, my true diagnoses is, Bipolar II. Bipolar is an inherited diagnosis that is more noticeable once you turn twenty years old. I'm relieved to know my diagnosis finally, a weight is lifted off my shoulder.
Ten years after my car collision in 1998, Dr. Firmand, A Ear Nose Throat Specialist, in Pittsburgh, Pa. He diagnosed me with, Post  Concussive Syndrome. Damage to 8th nerve in my inner ear, and minute hearing loss of right ear.
From my own experience, I think asking your PCP, to send you to a specialist when you have on  going symptoms after a car accident, or sports injury is a great idea.
Every person has their own unique story of how depression has affected you personally. I’m happy to say that I now know serving God can drastically change how we process depression. Depression won’t disappear for it is the thorn in the flesh that creates within us a strong character.
I should get paid hourly for keeping a straight face, while dying inside.Â
I'm feeling so proud of myself because today I called to make an appointment, went and got my hair cut, went home and then went to uni 😊 it may look like nothing but I've been postponing cutting my hair for months because of my anxiety/ lack of energy. I'm pleasantly surprised at myself
