✨Skincare tip: how should you be drying your face?
Hi my fellow skincare lovers, lets talk about how we should and shouldn't be drying our face, something I think a lot of people don’t pay much attention too. And I wouldn’t blame them, drying your face after cleansing seems pretty straight forward and obvious right? Well there’s actually more too it than using just any towel lying around on the counter. My favorite way to dry my face is by using a facial sponge. Sponges are seriously amazing for your skin; they’ll soak up all the access water from your face but at the same time will leave a bit of moisture on your skin instead of leaving it feeling dry and stripped. I like to use this one or this one from ulta (these particular one’s have to be repurchased every few months so that they stay fresh and in their original bouncy texture). But there are so many different facial sponges out there that you can try. I’ve seen some at target and Walmart and I’m sure they’re available at a lot of other stores too so I think they’re pretty accessible. A popular Korean sponge I’ve heard works well is the cleansing sponge by Tony Moly. When using an everyday hand towel or any other bathroom towel to dry your face it could have bacteria on it that you can’t see and leave small debris on your face. Having a designated skincare towel (try using a microfiber towel) is an option too if sponges don’t seem like your thing, but keep in mind you won’t get that extra boost of moisture that you get when you’re using a sponge. Now this isn’t going to immediately cure your acne or other skin problems but its a step in the right direction. I personally switch between a microfiber towel and facial sponge, but I really like how gentle and moisturizing it is to use a facial sponge and I usually reach for that more than I do for a towel. Alright, that’s it for this skincare tip, hope it was useful!

A Face Konjac Sponge is a much gentler method to exfoliate dead or dry skin during the daily facial wash because they are made from natural
A sponge for scrubbing the face is made from bamboo charcoal and the konjac plant, two common ingredients. This konjac facial sponge thoroughly cleans the skin's pores by sucking up specks of dirt, oil, and environmental toxins from the face. The gentle pore formula smoothes the skin by gently removing scales, pits, and dead skin cells. As charcoal is believed to have antibacterial characteristics that aid in detoxification and prevent excessive oil production, charcoal konjac sponges are ideal for skin types that are oily and acne-prone. To make this sponge, 100% natural konjac is combined with bamboo charcoal. The gentle exfoliation and removal of makeup and grime by konjac fibers. The vital elements included in activated charcoal clear pores and absorb extra oil. It works best on skin that is oily and prone to acne.
The Konjac Sponge can gently remove the dead skin cells, leaving it smooth and glowing. The more you use the sponge, the stronger the effects will be. Just don't expect the crazy-glowing skin that a peel or a really good facial would provide.
Konjac Facial Sponge is available in a variety of colours. The colours are determined by the active ingredients.
The use of Konjac facial sponges raised concerns about the gentleness of facial silicone brushes or scrubs.
The use of Konjac facial sponges raised concerns about the gentleness of facial silicone brushes or scrubs. Japan's secret to flawless smooth skin is the humble konjac facial sponge, which buffs your face to perfection one cleanse at a time. It's no surprise that many skincare professionals and celebrities are obsessed with it. If you like the feel of a physical exfoliant, such as a cleansing brush, this facial sponge could be a great and gentler alternative to your current routine. It may appear to be a rough kitchen scrubber at first, but after rinsing with water, the best konjac sponge is as soft as cotton.
