Black Rice Bran (Micronized)
Oryza sativa L. is also known as ‘The Black Forbidden Rice’ in Asian cultures due to the consumption of the rice outside of royalty being punishable by death. Ancient Chinese Emperors believed it to be the Elixir of Longevity. Today, research has found the black rice bran to have the highest level of Anthocyanin Antioxidants known, with 8x the potency of blueberries. Asian cultures have long used rice in their beauty practices as it firms and tightens the skin and minimizes the damage brought on by UV rays that may result in wrinkles. (Micronizing is a milling process that reduces substances into micro particles, enabling them to reach deep within cells and tissue for maximum performance and potency.)
Nigella Sativa L. (Black Seed)
This unique strain of ‘Black Seed’ has been found in the tombs of Egyptian kings and in ancient medical journals was believed to 'cure everything but death’. Today, research shows this seed has powerful antimicrobial effects on fighting bacterial, fungal, viral infection but has even been found to have astounding success as an anti-MRSA or treatment-resistant 'superbugs’.
Activated Charcoal
Activated Charcoal from Coconut was recognized in the late 1800s in medical journals as an antidote for poisons and to clear intestinal disorders. Today we know the activation process of charring the cleanest woods, like coconut, creates a unique particle that binds to, or 'adsorbs’ toxic organic compounds like pesticides, mercury, fertilizers, mold, drugs, bleach alcohol, cholesterol and lead. The charcoal traps those particles and carries them out of the body (or pores).
