Well, now we've gone and done it! Â We've had our fun here in Arizona, I guess, with the Coronavirus reportedly running rampant here at a rate per capita even worse than Italy they say, so now we're going to have to pay the piper for it! Â Here in the Phoenix area especially, we're now going to be required to wear face-masks out in public places effective immediately. Â And the worst part of it is that once these things--such as social distancing--get started, they pretty much become unstoppable until an effective vaccination has been made and given out to most people, which probably means at least a year or more of it being this way concerning our being required now to wear face-masks out in public. Â So that will surely feel odd, especially with our only being half-people with our faces hidden from each other all of the time. Â But I do have kind of a small problem regarding it right now, and this is that I still only have the dust masks, which are technically fine, but they pocket too much carbon dioxide in them, making me get a little dizzy being that I've worn them already in my apartment quite often in the past when my dusty old A/C was running. Â So what I'm going to try and do is buy some thin pillow cases along with some elastic fabric straps if I can find them (both at Walmart) and then use the online instructions to make a face-mask from them myself. Â I figure that because of not having the large open gap that's inside of dust masks, a face-mask made instead from flat cloth will hopefully prevent the problem of getting too much exhaled carbon dioxide. Â But when I next go shopping, however, I'm going to need to do so wearing my dust mask. Â So hopefully I won't get too light-headed and/or uncomfortable from it. Â And what I'll then need to do while jogging, I suppose, is take the face-mask with me around my neck and every time I have to pass someone I'll then slip it on and then off again afterword, being that I most certainly can't wear any masks throughout the majority of jogging, otherwise I'd pass out from much too little oxygen. Â Anyway, so I guess that this will now become our new way of life here as well, which kind of makes sense being that this area was one of the starting places in the country that first got the disease. Â Anyway, so there goes another one of our freedoms, and hopefully they'll get a usable vaccine in not too much longer.
