Me ft. new mascara and pretty new shirt...

I do not like your eyes because of their shape or color,

I love them because they gave me the gift of sight!

I do not like my nose because of its size,

I love it because it gave me the ability to smell the world around me!

I do not like my lips because of their form,

I love them because they allow me to express myself and create connections with others!

This is a letter to my face. A lot of people have a hard time dealing with their body image (myself included) but I have an even harder time dealing with my face and even though I’m not there yet, I wanted to thank it for existing and allowing me to experience this world as fully as possible! I appreciate it so much because I know some people can’t see, smell, talk or even hear or feel touch, so I decided to complain a little less.

No matter what you look like you will always find it hard to call yourself pretty but remember! When you look at other people, you always find them beautiful in their own way. Change the way you look at yourself, don’t let societal standards define your beauty.
