Hmm that's weird that you couldn't send an ask but thanks for your message anyway!

“I don’t care that it’s 2:00am, we need pie.”
Alex tiredly rubs her eyes, well used to her sister’s antics, and her stomach. “Okay, and why do we need pie?”
“Because I can hear Lena crying next door and pie always makes me feel better.”
Alex decides not to point out that the pie thing is probably more just Kara than other people as she frowns. “Is she okay? Is she hurt?”
“I’m not sure, she just sounds sad.”
Alex debates what to do for a minute. She knows the woman lives alone, knows basic things about her life, but not much more than one neighbour should know about another. Kara is the more friendly of the two, Kara’s the one that always talks to Lena in the hallway, Kara was the one who had invited Lena over to celebrate Christmas with them when she’d heard the woman in the apartment next door, all alone.
Maybe she does like pie when she’s sad, Kara definitely knows her better than Alex does.
But does Lena really want her neighbours to turn up on her doorstep in the early hours of the morning?
It’s Kara’s concerned face that gets her, they should at least check to make sure Lena isn’t hurt.
Kara flies out to quickly get a pie, going to the only diner close to them that’s open at this time in the morning.
Alex finds herself at Lena’s door, Kara anxious beside her, at stupid o’clock in the morning, wondering if they’re about to make mistake.
Lena’s definitely been crying when she opens the door, eyes red, tear tracks staining her cheeks even as she tries to wipe them away.
“We brought you pie,” Kara says, thrusting the pie into the surprised woman’s personal space.
“We could hear you, umm,” Alex clears her throat, explaining further, they didn’t really think this through. “Crying.”
Lena swallows, looks down. “Sorry. I’m fine, sorry to wake you both.”
“Are you okay?” Kara asks, suddenly much calmer than before, worried eyes on Lena.
Alex watches as Lena looks up and her eyes meet Kara’s. If Alex wasn’t watching so carefully, she probably would’ve missed it, the way Lena’s eyes brighten slightly, the way a small smile tugs her lips up and oh, how did she miss that before?
She makes a mental note to ask her sister about this later, because even just from one look, she can tell there’s something more going on between them that she realised.
That’s for later though.
“I’m okay, I just had a bad day.”
“Well, that’s what Alex and I are here for, because pie definitely makes everything better.”
Lena’s smile widens with a small shake of her head. “Only you would say that.”
Kara nods decisively. “Because it’s true.”
Lena invites them in, to Alex’s surprise, for a slice of the pie that Kara claims is delicious but can it really be for a diner pie?
Alex pretends not to notice the quiet words Kara and Lena share while she cuts up the pie, ignores the hug that definitely lingers too long as she plates it.
And then that’s how Alex ends up on Lena Luthor’s couch at 3:00am, screen flickering from a movie she’s only half watching, her sister leaning against her side, Lena leaning into Kara’s other side, both covered in pie crumbs and both fast asleep.
