THEY HAD CALLED HIM INSANE. they had thought him driven mad by grief, the grief of losing a twin ... but vilkas knew. he knew that farkas had not been lost, not truly --- it had been months. years? by the gods time didn’t matter, no, no. why would it matter, when the only goal he had was to find his brother? he had searched, follow every trail, hunted down every lead. he had never thought it possible that farkas would fall victim to the clutches of the silver hand. his brother was cursed with a kind heart, but he was strong as he was kind & fierce as any other warrior... he would not die so easily.
vilkas had hunted. he had hunted down every one of those damned savages who had taken farkas --- they had to have taken him. he had to be alive. he had torn though their bodies, ripping into flesh & snapping bone between jaws that were not quite his own. the boiling of his beast blood had aided his quest --- he had been growing more & more beastly by the day.
the trail of bodies had lead him far. flipping through journals, rage-filled interrogations ... it had all amounted to this. this. this. what was this? there was now a path of carnage in his wake, he had torn through the fort in a desperate attempt to see farkas once more .. he had ignored the other caged beasts, feral & angry, ready to tear into anything that dared draw near. he passed cage after cage, cell after cell. he had ignored them all until --- until ---
