Faaris design update
So been thinking on faaris lately, basically after I made his ref a while back I still wasn't satisfied with his design or didn't feel dragon enough but it also didn't feel rugged enough. His character is still being worked on I also want to give him more pudge on his stomach, give him a slightly more bear build kinda. But here were some sketches I did recently, I like what I did with the horns and the scales on the back of his neck, which I'm going to be carrying over with some other dragon descendants. I also doodled up his dragon form.
Also you may be wondering, why doesn't he have wings? Well in this world it was decided that only one type of dragon actually has wings and that is winged dragons. Golden dragons do not have wings or at least Thier descendants do not and faaris is a golden dragon descendant. So he doesn't have wings. The reason unathi The mother of all dragons, aka the sorta god he looks to has wings, is because she is the child of the dragon that the winged dragons were descendants from.
But yeah golden dragon descendants didn't inherit wings lol, so no wings for faaris.
