Finn knew that he owed River an apology but he just wasn't sure how to make amends for what had happened. He had meant what he said but not how he'd said it. He could have been nicer and explained the situation a bit more without going in to all the details he wasn't ready to talk about. After talking to Alec and Ryder, he figured he owed the younger male an explanation in the hopes that he hadn't ruined anything between them. They had just gotten to a somewhat good place in their relationship and while Finn wasn't ready to make it anything more than dating, he wanted to keep him in his life so that day could actually come.
He had grabbed dinner, not knowing if River had eaten, and flowers (did men get men flowers?), along with the apology speech in his pocket and headed to the EMT's apartment. He knocked on the door, biting the inside of his cheek as he waited. This wasn't a planned visit and there was always the chance that River would slam the door in his face but he had to try. His bandaged hand was hidden behind him a stark reminder from Friday and what had happened. Keeping it fresh in his mind would hopefully make tonight go smoothly as he needed to explain everything. He knocked again when there was no answer and began to worry that he wasn't home.
