FUNDRAISER | 005
Seeing Nixon and spending time with him as well as talking to him in general has become part of Saraās everyday life. Itās a routine and sheās not complaining one bit. She liked having him around, the sort of adventurous and mysterious energy he brings around her just makes life more exciting. There was thrill that she learned to enjoy so much, especially since that bike ride night they had. Even if her dad got mad at her, all it took were three words. Iām happy, dad.Ā There was no need for an explanation and even if it was uncertain what she was trying to say exactly, Andrew Hartley knew that moments like this would happen more so thereās no point in telling his daughter no. After all, the more heāll say no, the more Sara would just go against him and do what she wants. Andrew decided to just find a loophole when he can.
The fundraiser invite came as a shock. Sara knew she needed to go to support her mom but going with just her parents felt boring. Even if her friends were going to be there, Sara just didnāt feel like hanging. That was when she decided to invite the one person sheās been looking forward to spend time with the most. Thankfully, Nixon agreed to go. She was kind of excited to see him in a semi-formal wear, having always wondered how he looked when going to their company office. Settling with a simple white dress and her hair down, Sara drove her momās BMW to where Nixonās apartment was. She stayed in her car for a while, doing a few checks on her make up just to be sure she looks presentable before being seen by Nixon. When she was all set, she got out of the car, went up to his place and knocked on the door, wondering if sheāll finally get a glimpse of his home for the rest of the summer.
